yet another ssm2044 demo
YouTube via squeakyfromme69
"got it tuned up and soldered up. sound quality of course sucks but take my word for it, it sounds pretty fat"
Jupiter-8 Split Example 1
YouTube via SynthManiaDotCom
"Roland Jupiter-8 sync'd to Roland TR-808. Split mode and arpeggiator are used. A quick version of Smalltown Boy and some other classic 1980s synth lines."
Jupiter-8 Split Example 2
"Roland Jupiter-8 sync'd to Roland TR-808. Split mode and arpeggiator are used. I'm playing a typical early-mid 1980s Italo-Dance style, with the powerful JP Brass sound."
Jupiter-8 Split Example 3
YouTube via SynthManiaDotCom
"Roland Jupiter-8 in Split mode. The Lower part features the beautiful JP Strings, and the Upper part a characteristic "Tomita" synth sound. Vaguely in the style of Isao Tomita's "Snowflakes are dancing" record."
Reminds me of Tomita's When You Wish Upon a Star on the Moog Modular.
285e Drone
YouTube via boobtube356. "Self oscillating frequency shifter."
285e Drone II
intro on this one was reminiscent of 2001 A Space Odyssey
"Further tweaking on the same patch. This time the 285e also plays the high octave notes."
Buchla 285e Demo
"Both halves of the the 285e balanced modulator are cross modulated into each other., and it is the sole sound source in the first half of the video. In the second half of the video, the 259e is added and modulation of the memory scanning capability is demonstrated."
We Don't Need No Syncing Bad Jams!
YouTube via JohnLRice
"I was experimenting with the Synth Tech MOTM-650 MIDI-CV converter's arrpegiator sending MIDI clock out to the Moon M563 MIDI2CV converter and syncing up the M569 sequencer etc. It turned into something I wanted to preserve by recording it but, I have another project I really want to get done so I did this one pretty quick. (I was planning on several tracks of Eastern hand drums and full drumset too . . .)
This is the third attempt which was followed by three false starts and then the final take which was the best. Unfortunately I didn't realize that the camera had run out of memory so I only got the first minute of it. :-/ So what you see here is the third attempt with extra bonus mistakes for your viewing amusment! ;-)
Thank you for watching, rating and commenting!"
