the waldorf wave control sample & hold function Mike Huckaby and Wolfram Franke

YouTube via mikehuckaby
"This is some rare footage i put together with Wolfram Frankie covering every modulation routing in the waldorf wave synthesizer. The original footage was way too long to post, so i had to creatively put the video together this way. This machine is a beast, and it still makes me feel like i dont even know it sometimes. This video was taken 10 years ago. Wow, time does fly."

Alwin Nikolais and the First Moog Modular

via vgermuse:
"2010 is the centennial celebration of the birth of choreographer, composer and visionary, Alwin Nikolais. See this New York Times article for more info on that.

Nikolais purchased the first Moog modular synth according to the book Analog Days by Trevor Pinch and Frank Trocco [link to book on Amazon]. In that book they quote Bob Moog saying, 'Alwin Nikolais, the choreographer who does his own scores…shows up (at AES in 1964) and then I heard the words, that I later realized were the magic words: ‘I’ll take one of this, two of this, and that one…’ We took two or three orders at that show.' Nikoloais, with the aid of a Guggenheim Fellowsip, purchased what would become the first ever commercially made Moog synthesizer.

Nikolais’ electronic music is quite amazing for, as I understand it, a sort of home grown, garage band studio of the mid 1960’s onward.

You can also see and hear Nikolais’ work at the Nikolais Louis Foundation for Dance.

Best,
vgermuse"

Analog Impressions #023

"Uploading this music for the second time to put it in it's proper context along with the other pieces. This is all multi tracked Roland SH-1000, nothing else."

Sound Of Lassence

via Melectroworks

"Here are some 'sounds' in collaboration with F.J.Dubusquiel (Creator of the Lassence ventury II). If everything goes as planned, we will be able to show off a glimp of the first new Laccence upgraded ventury range modules in a month or two (there already was an announcement for a new range of modules a long time ago,but some things where completely re-designed which explains the long delay).
[Regarding the sounds:] There is an delay extensively used (abused) in track 4 note and some reverb on other tracks.

Best Regards,
Melectroworks"
Update: regarding the format: "the format we use is the same as the height of the ventury, its 220cm (thats just a littlebit less as 5U),the modulles are 4cm large."

YouTube via Synthiefrau
"Hi lovely synthfolk, this is all the same with the childs. I make musik and my son come in my studio and ask me: "mum, do you have 10.- Euros for me". Aaaaargh, this child cost me a lot of money;-))))

I try to play with my Synthesizer.com Modular, Minimoog and the Roland V-Synth, the effects comes from Roland Juno 60 and my little babysynth Deopfer Dark Energie.
Welcome and enjoy the analogue Sound universe."

YAMAHA C55N

YouTube via nacionskate.
"el sapo de nuevo, un poco mas chiflado" "the new frog, a little more nutty"
via Ralph: "was doing a bit of research about an organ I had just bought and came
across this masterpiece! I'm hoping the C55N has a bit of CS in it, (it was released in 1978, Yamaha's golden years), but it's hard to tell watching this video!"
If anyone knows, feel free to comment.
