'What is HSS®?
HyperSonic® Sound Technology is simply the most revolutionary sound reproduction system of this century.

How does it work?
The basic operating principle of HSS uses a property of air known as "non-linearity". A normal sound wave (like someone talking) is a small pressure wave that travels through the air. As the pressure goes up and down, the "non-linear" nature of the air itself causes the sound wave to be slightly changed. Download the whitepaper below for detailed information.

This ability to direct or focus sound into a tight beam has a wealth of applications. Imagine:
• Directing narration in a museum only to the people standing in front of a specific display.
• Capturing and holding customers’ attention to advertise a product or promote a brand at the point-of-purchase, without disturbing employees or causing unwanted noise pollution.
• Providing information or messages that can offer direction to shorten wait times to people standing in line.
• Directing an alarm or alert only to the intended operator in a control room environment to assist them in making timely, critical decisions.

With HSS, you can be part of Shaping the Future of Sound.

Applications:
• Digital Signage/NarrowCasting
• In-Store Advertising
• Museums
• Trade Shows
• Kiosks
• Corporate Lobbies
• Command & Control Room
• Automotive Dealerships"

Roland SH-5 Vintage Analog Synthesizer

via this auction

"One of the most popular monosynths Roland ever made. It has been said that the bandpass filter rivals the Oberheim SEM and the modulation options make it truly a modular synthesizer. You can switch in and out various LFO's along the signal path and it's one of the few synths with both white AND pink noise."

3.14 Pi Day

YouTube via rishabhrajan. "128 monome"
In case you didn't know, yesterday was Pi Day! 3.14. I actually had this post set to go up yesterday after the first run of posts. I wanted it to be towards the top for a period of time, but it got lost in the shuffle as I ran out of time before having to head out. This is why I think I should just put things up as they come in, when they come in. I'm going to switch to that model moving forward so this doesn't happen again.
