Weird Sounds CLEAR ANALOG THEREMIN

via this auction
"A true analog theremin, which uses traditional inductor coils to produce an analog sine wave

The playable range can be adjusted from 5 inches to 5 feet !

Whats the difference between an analog and digital theremin?

A analog theremin uses traditional components eg inductors and transistors, and produce a

pure sine wave for a smooth sound

A digital theremin uses Digital chips (IC's) which mostly produce a square wave and can sound

Comes fully assembled with battery and only needs to be plugged in and played!

Has rubber feet to stop slipping, and is completely plug and play!
* A great gift idea
* Play it through an effects pedal to create even more styles of sound
* Battery life is hours as these lithium batterys last for 10 years in a smoke alarm"

AKAI AX-60

via this auction

"The AX-60 is among some of the last true analog polysynths of the mid-eighties. The AX-60 is a programmable six-voice synth with a nice LFO, lowpass VCF filter, envelope sections, and more. An eight-voice version, the AX-80, was already available.

Programming this synth is easy using dedicated sliders, knobs and/or buttons for its parameters. It also has a useful noise generator and some other cool functions that include auto-tuning, chorus, a multi-mode arpeggiator and a keyboard that can be split into two key-zones, making it somewhat bi-timbral. All six voices can be stacked in unison mode for a powerful and thick lead sound.

Here are some Specifications:
* Polyphony - 6 Voices
* Oscillators - 6 VCOs
* Memory - 64 Patches
* Filter - Lowpass analog filter
* VCA - Standard ADSR
* Keyboard - 61 keys
* Arpeg/Seq - Arpeggiator
* Control - MIDI (2 parts)"

"SERIAL NUMBER 5475

This is the early, "warmer" osc board and I can't imagine another instrument or Minimoog version sounding any warmer, fatter, smoother, silkier, ballsier, or better. These early Minis sounds SO GOOD. It's a one-owner machine from 1975. Been in the closet for 20 years. Even has the original manual"

SOVIET POLIVOKS POLYVOX with English Labels

via this auction

"Polivoks had been produced since 1982 by Formanta electronic factory (one of the biggest at the time); it was sold exclusively in the USSR. Polivoks has its own particular electronic parts, reliable keyboard (49 notes F to E) made in magnetically controlled contacts; synthesis modules consist of independent boards, which is convenient for maintenance. The synthesizer has 2-voices polyphony; each oscillator works with a keyboard note independently; two types of filters - bandpass/lowpass and external input for cutoff control. In addition, Polivoks is housed in an original body of uncommon design with handy controls. Being closed with a cover, the synthesizer turns into a strong aluminum case.

Polivoks is the portable electronic musical synthesizer which is designed for playing different musical compositions of any genre. It is also intended for creating some musical effects in cinema and play scoring, in studio.

There are 4 octaves on the keyboard. The inclined desk is divided into the following functional sections: Modulator, Generator #1, Generator #2, Mixer and Amplifier. They give one a possibility to synthesize a broad spectrum of sounds and to change sounding at any time.

There are 3 internal audible signal sources in the instrument: to broad-ranged of the Generators with changed form of oscillations and a noise generator for creating a non-musical sounds such as wind, surf, whine, etc. Possibility to connect an external audible signal sources to the synthesizer is provided for (e.g. guitars, electropianos and electroorgans). Sounds of different external sources are combined separatly in the mixer in any ratio. There is a filter in the synthesizer with cutoff frequency control and resonance to change colour of timbre of audilble signal over a wide range.

Polivoks is the most popular vintage Russian synthesizer all over the world. It has inimitable peculiar sound and very powerful aggressive filters outperforming the famous Minimoog! A fat, lush and very analogue sound is achieved through instability and thanks to unique architecture of the Soviet-era components; in addition, highly reliable military technologies were applied in the process of production. The synthesizer may be used for hard electronic music, or for soft ambient/old school projects and for modelling various effects as well.

Folktek on Ebay

"One of the latest "Insectan" works by Arius Blaze. This is an expanded upon version of the previous bugs with folktek magnetic patchbay, patchable knobs and the controllable chaotic sound of alien insects based on high quality speech osc.

The expansion adds a modulate section which toggles back and fourth between two patches adding more rhythmic control and/or also causing the insect to behave oddly and create variations of sounds otherwise unheard from the bugs. The modulate section has speed control and the global patch depth function covers the modulation as well."
