"Phil Petschke at MegaOhm Audio modified a Q109 Envelope Generator from Synthesizers.com to allow for sustain control voltage. It is a subtle but very audible modification.
This rather clinical demo should suffice to show the effect."
via this auction "This is arguably the finest synthesizer keyboard ever made - with rosewood veneered cheeks, real wooden piano weighted action keyboard and all hand made by Yamaha as their ultimate flagship synthesizer for the megastar. Yamaha only produced 140 of these flagship keyboards...
It makes an excellent master keyboard as it has a great feeling wooden keyboard with velocity, after-touch AND polyphonic aftertouch!
This is the Rolls Royce of all synthesizer keyboards ever made. Since it has many more controls and displays than the other DX keyboards it makes programming the DX much easier. Its sound engine is that of two DX7s but with higher quality class A components - so that the DX1's sound is more dynamic and 'solid' than any other DX."
Phosphor Test Tracks by Chris Randall via Analog Industries "Here are all the quick Phosphor demos I've done so far, all in one handy set. Interestingly, I neglected to do any pad-like stuff, a situation I'll remedy shortly. But this should give you a pretty good idea of where its wheelhouse is. It is capable of some seriously loopy shit, as well, which I'll also be adding in the near future.
As far as progress goes, only one major feature left, which we should have nailed today or tomorrow, then presets, manual, porting. So it won't be long."
