Vintage 1977 Analog non-SRM CAT Synthesizer

via this auction

"Rare, Vintage 1977 first generation, non-SRM, “Cat” Synthesizer, from Octave electronics... They did not make a lot of these but Octave released this analog classic - the Cat - during the era of the Minimoog and ARP Odyssey synthesizers. The Cat is actually very much like the ARP Odyssey, so much so that ARP had sued them in the late 1970's for cloning their designs. The Cat is a monophonic/duophonic analog synthesizer with 2 oscillators capable of square and sawtooth waveforms. VCO 1 also has a triangle waveform. Each of the waveforms can be played simultaneously and mixed together and there are additional sub-octave oscillators on each oscillator to blend new and interesting sounds.

Features of the Cat
2 transient generators = envelopes (gated, off and auto settings)
ADSR
AR
sample and hold (s&h) - noise or vco 1 source
pitch bend
octave shift
glide
LFO frequency
key control
poly - for 2 note capability
off
mono - both oscillators stacked on the same key
VCO 1 (voltage controlled oscillator)
fine tune
coarse tune
modulation 1 - sine LFO, square LFO, s&h
modulation 2 - ADSR, AR, VCO2
pulse width modulation - sine LFO, DC

VINTAGE SYNDRUM TWIN 278 SYNTH DRUM EFFECT PEDAL

via this auction

"Syndrum Twin Model 278 serial number 1112 in beautiful cosmetic, (except for missing slider knobs) and perfect working condition. We guess late seventies early eighties production date to compete with Simmons and other triggered electronic drum brains popular at that time. Original mounting bracket and AC cable intact."

Moog Source Analogue Synthesizer

via this auction

"Only 7000 ever made.

Serial Number - 1189 X

The Moog Source is a
monophonic Z80 microprocessor-controlled analog synthesizer manufactured by Moog Music from 1981 to 1985. The Source was Moog's first synthesizer to offer patch memory storage. The design was also the first (and only) Moog synthesizer to feature a flat-panel membrane keyboard to replace the standard buttons, knobs and sliders, along with multitude panel graphics that were very different from anything Moog offered at the time.

In addition to the memory capable of holding 16 presets, the Source features a 37-note
keyboard, and two VCOs that can be selected among three waveforms and three octaves. Programmed presets can be saved to an audio cassette interface to free up the onboard memory for additional new patches. The 24dB/octave VCF has parameters for keyboard tracking, cutoff frequency, resonance, and envelope amount. There are two ADSR envelope generators that can be set in single or multi trigger modes, one for the VCF and one for the VCA. For modulation, the Source features LFO and sample and hold. The unit also features a rudimentary sequencer.

Used on many 80's pop hits (as used for the bass line on New Orders 'blue monday')

As close to an original 3 oscillator mini moog as you can get. Beautiful sounding filter and plenty of warm punch from the synths to DCO's."
