1980s Peterson Bottom Line Pedal

flickr By Mark Dalzell

"1984 Peterson Bottom Line bass synth pedal. Similar idea to something like a Moog Taurus, but with less control. There are 3 levels of decay, on/off for attack, and sliders for volume, sustain and voicing. On the back is a fine tune adjustment and there is an internal coarse adjustment. It all folds up into a slick little road case. I currently have 2 - this one has a lower serial number but the cables seem to be a newer style (black instead of gray) so they may have been replaced. The other one works fine but the tolex is in rough shape. According to Peterson's website, these were manufactured starting in the mid 70s. The 1984 date is an educated guess based on similar serial numbers produced that year."

Dolly Test 2

YouTube Uploaded by JohnLRice on Mar 7, 2011

"This is just a test of my new Kessler Pocket Dolly 2 slider. It is a 3 foot device my camera attaches to so I can get smooth horizontal etc movement. It takes practice and I'm thinking I'm going to have to get the electric motor drive for it since I can't seem to move it smoothly enough by hand for my tastes!

The audio is unrelated to this video and from a different audio only test I did earlier this year for my Modcan 69B Scanner module: http://soundcloud.com/johnlrice/modcan-69b-tests-in-4-sections"

"Mixing Control Voltages with the Moog CP-251 Control Processor - two favorite methods of creating tempo-synced control voltages are combined and processed, then routed to the Moog Voyager's Filter In for a wide range of rhythmic expression.

organfairy's first DIY synthesizer - Sequencer

YouTube Uploaded by organfairy on Mar 8, 2011

"After having upgraded my first synthesizer and it's keyboard I continue by making a new sequencer for it.

The music is played on the Yamaha HE-8 organ, Roland SH-2000 and JX-8P synthesizers and CR-1000 drum machine."

Vintage Paia Dual Sequencer Modules

via this auction
"old set of PAIA 4780 sequencer modules that have been modded to fit in a rack. some of the cv inputs have been modded for 1/8 inch and included are two of the mini bananas that you need to reset the sequence. also included are two mini bananas to 1/4 for triggers and an original PAIA manual for them.

these things are homemade (like all paia equipment) and they are W E I R D. do not buy these expecting them to work perfectly or be normal. that's not what PAIA stuff is for. these boxes are basically psuedorandom event generators that you have a small amount of control over."

Oberheim DX Stretch Vintage Digital Drum Machine

via this auction

"The DX Stretch features the standard DX drum machine with an additional four drum sounds added by the Stretch section... All functions of the DX section work great but 2 of the pads of the Stretch section aren't working. This doesn't mean the entire voice is out.....just one tuning of a sound and one volume level pad of another is out. Other than that everything else about this vintage drum machine works great!!! It features MIDI and has individual outputs and tuning pots on the rear panel for each sound. It's in absolutely fantastic cosmetic condition as can be seen in the close-up photos. If you want to program beats like early hip-hop and classic 80s pop then this is what you're looking for. Due to the age of this item (over 25 years) I can provide no warranty or guarantee that it will work forever. It hasn't given me any problems besides the ones stated previously. Also includes power cable, DX manual, Stretch manual and installation instructions in case you wish to remove the Stretch portion. The EEPROMS included are DX Kick, DMX Snare 6, DX Hat, DX Tom, Shaker 2 + Clap, Crash (cymbal socket only), Long Ride (cymbal socket only), Electric Tom 3, Fat Electronic Snare, Tambourine + Rim Shot, Tabla, Triangle, African Drum, Click (cymbal socket only), Long Noise (cymbal socket only), and Electronic Snare. That's a lot of sounds and there are companies out there on the web that will burn new EEPROMS with just about any percussion sound you want to use in the DX Stretch."
