"This 32-note monophonic preset synthesizer had 6 push-button presets ("voice", "synthe 1", "synthe 2", "brass", "string", and "wood" as in woodwind) and a five octave switch. If you pressed two buttons at the same time, those two presets would mix. There were controls for attack and "sustain" (decay/release), VCF, modulation depth, modulation speed, and portamento speed (as well as a lever to switch the portamento on or "momentary"). The SP version of the synth had a small built in speaker."

White Roland SH-101 & Mod Grip
via this auction
"As far as I know there are two white SH-101s like this one in existence and Peanut from The Kaiser Chiefs owns the other one... Please note - this SH-101 has been customised by www.customsynth.co.uk. It originally started out as a regular grey SH-101.
I have had a couple of things restored/refinished by them over the years and the quality and durability of the finish is always outstanding. Please check out their website and Flickr pages to see for yourself."
