"Unique sound and hugely POWERFUL architecture make this synth a programmers dream. Capable of producing a range of sounds, from hard-edged digital grit to beautiful, crystalline bells and everything in between. It can do a pretty good analogue emulation, but this is no Mini Moog or Oberheim – this thing has a sound all of its own.

Bidders should be aware that this really is a PROGRAMMERS synthesizer – the large graphical screen is helpful in showing all the parameters, but be warned – this thing is a beast. K5 owners will agree that though the initial learning curve can be steep, time spent experimenting with this keyboard can produce some very unique and rewarding results.

The K5’s 61 key keyboard has a great feel to it and the keys have a certain ‘gravity’ and depth that is hard to describe, but makes playing feel natural and expressive. The K5 is great as a master keyboard and playing piano parts on a plug-in like Native Instrument’s The Grand is an absolute joy.
