Casio HZ-600 SD Synthesizer with Analog Filters

via this auction

"Casio HZ-600 Digital / Analog SD Synthesis "Pro" Version of HT-700 3000 6000. The HZ-600 was Casio's 'professional' version of the popular HT series of Spectrum Dynamic Syntheziers. There are no built-in speakers as found on the HT 'home' series and must be connected to an amplifier. You can split the keyboard with two different sound with 3 different splint points."

According to previous posts including video (one, two, three), this did have analog filters. It's interesting the CZ, FZ, and VZ series, which had more more editable synthesis parameters, did not.

Linn LM-2 LinnDrum Vintage Drum Machine

via this auction

"There are ZIFF sockets mounted for the snare and toms for quicker and safer removal / exhange of EPROMs (no additional EPROMs included). There seems to be an issue with the ride cymbal. It does not always trigger from the front panel (although cowbell and claps trigger properly when switched to "percussion"). When the ride is triggered, there is an audible "click" at the end of the sample. Perhaps this is an issue with the EPROMS and COULD be fixed by ordering a new Ride EPROM set from Forat. I don't know, just a guess..."

nonlinearcircuits panel modular

nonlinearcircuits has a post up on a panel based modular system he will be building. For those not familiar with panel based systems, it just means all featured modules are in one panel rather than having separate modules that need to be racked together. Serge makes panels vs individual modules for example. nonlinearciruits has a YouTube channel so hopefully we'll see this one in action.

"Panel 1 - bindubba 1 & 3 sequencers, multiples (banana to minijack connectors)

Panel 2 - PMS VCO, PMS VCO, dual DC mixers, LDR VCA/mixer, dual LFO, utility EG

Panel 3 - 5 stage Resonator, dual triple channel VCAs, double Jerkoff Chaos, EoE VCF (transistor ladder), ARP/Electronotes style 2 pole VCF, Divine CMOS (sub-oscillator, harmonic divider, harmonic ring-modulator, pattern generator, all kinds of tricks!)

Panel 4 - CMOSC (6 simple CMOS drone oscillators with gate selectable frequency control and sync function), 4 stage Thru & Hold, 4 stage Sample & Hold (these each have CV inputs and 4 individual gate controlled outputs), Four Squared Logic, The Great Divide, 8-bit Cipher, dual bi-directional switches.

Panel 5 - two Envelope Generators (based on Korg 3100 designs but modded for CV control of Attack/Decay, extra outputs and retriggerable), dual DC mixers, four Utility VCOs (these are 1V/oct and range from approx 0.1Hz to 8kHz so can be used as LFOs too), twin-T VCF with voltage controlled resonance, VC Wave Clipper, dual analogue Neuron.

Panel 6 - PT2399 based delay, Ramp generator, dual Utility VCOs, Veena (drone module based on Indian musical instruments), Six channel Mixer/Panner with headphone amp and multiple outputs (banana and 1/4 inch), Six Random Noise sources (pink, white, slow random, etc), Six Passive filters (Vibes, Vox, Brass, Funk, Harp, Gurgle - to use with extra outputs from Veena), The Bigot (CV controlled signal splitter), analogue And, Analogue Or, Controller (module for adding proximity or ribbon controller)

Intellijel uFold wave folder demo 2

YouTube Uploaded by EROEI on Dec 30, 2011

"This is a more complex demo of the Intellijel uFold. Take 2 starts at 2:53. Again one Dixie VCO is going into the uFold, however this time two Dixie waves (sine and tri) go into a uFade VC cross fader before going to the uFold. Modulation of the uFold, uFade and various uVCA modules provided by two Makenoise MATHS, Expert Sleepers Silent Way ES3 and a TipTop Z8000. most of the mod sources go into the A138m matrix mixer which is routing to the modules CV ins. This is two takes, first take uses the Dr Octature filter as the end of the signal chain to smooth off the waveform a bit. Both takes use different FX that are being sent via a VC aux send made out of a uVCA and controlled by the Z8000 into a MATHS (creating a complex EG)."
