You can actually use the slider on these to draw oscillator waveforms and of course play them.

For those unfamiliar with Vector synthesis, think of being able to pan between the individual oscillators. Typically Vector synths have four oscillators with various waveforms you can pic from. You then use a joystick to morph between them. In reality you are adjusting the various mix levels of each with all levels max when the joystick is in the center. The Prophet VS from Sequential Circuits was the first Vector synth. When DSI ended the technology went to Yamaha and Korg. Yamaha came out with the SY22 and TG33 Vector synths and Korg came out with the Wavestation. The Wavestation added Wave Sequencing to the picture which allowed you to sequence through the various waveforms of an oscillator similar to Wavetable synthesis, but instead of having discrete Wavetables to sequence through you sequenced through all waveforms available. It's similar but the implementation of each is different enough to have you approach them differently.

For those unfamiliar with Wavetable synthesis think of the oscillators as a spreadsheet, grid or matrix of waveforms that you can modulate vs the single waveforms typically available in other synths. There are several of these wavetables to select from. You can modulate what waveform in the wavetable is active with things like the LFOs or envelopes.

"Unbelievably cool oscillator. Everything from clear FM metallic tones to outright noise and grit, its one of the greatest oscillators in the eurorack format. Great condition, just a little rack rash hidden by the screws like any used euro module. Highly influenced by the Buchla 200e oscillators. Seriously complex waveforms emerge from this beast!

Chimera bC16 mini-modular synthesizer SN 5E2D2W

"For sale is the very rare Chimera bC16 mini-modular synthesizer. Included is a small box that was included with the product, containing mini banana-plug connectors for the CV patch points --- these can be easily adapted to normal CV patch cables if you're handy at making cables. The unit runs on AAA batteries, so I do not have a power adaptor. The unit is rev. 3, which is the final (and best) version of the product released. CV and MIDI work great; the unit is in pristine condition.

The Chimera bC16 is an incredibly designed and executed the synth, but the business behind the product wasn't quite as savvy as you'd hope. I'm not sure how many of these things exist, but if you're here, you probably know they're a great cult synth that has been used by people like Depeche Mode and Throbbing Gristle.

One thing that's really cool about this synth is that if you make the cables to do it, you can interface the bC16 into any modular system. For example, I often used plugged the bC16 in as an extra LFO or oscillator, but the envelopes and filter are obviously available for patching as well. Because it also has MIDI, it's a bit of a swiss army knife in a modular studio."
