Wavetek Oscillator Demo

"The Wavetek 132 is a 1980's vintage test oscillator featuring voltage control (not 1V/Octave!), 3 waveforms, and digital and analogue noise generators that create "pseudo random" patterns, selectable via front panel switches. The extensive controls allow one to "play" the oscillator live. In this piece, I've used a General Radio sine wave oscillator to modulate the Wavetek, fed the signal to a Synthesizers.com mulit-mode filter, then through a Lexicon reverb. For the last third of the piece, I swapped the modulation source to a Doepfer MAQ16/3 sequencer.

"Roland MV-30 Sequencer Synthesizer. This is an interesting desktop unit with a nice sequencer. The synth engine is in the U110/U220 style, but with the addition of a TVF filter. You can even use U110 PCM expansion cards, as well as the Roland D70 cards."

"Includes 40 SDS Drum EPROMs, for SDS-1, SDS-7, SDS-9

Up for auction is a black vintage Simmons SDS-1 EPROM-based electronic drum pad in perfect operating condition, including 40 different EPROMs compatible with Simmons SDS-1, SDS-7, and SDS-9 drum synths.

The Simmons SDS-1 is a single voice drum synth that uses 8k or 16k EPROMs. The drum synth can be triggered by hitting the drum pad or via an external trigger input. There is a modulation section on the drum synth that allows you to set the pitch and pitch bend direction, then a separate runtime generator allows you to dial in a random pitch generator that can range from subtle to extreme. Please check out my link below to some MP3s I made with the SDS1 drum synth.

The Simmons SDS EPROM drum pad is confirmed 100% working, ZIF, LED, external trigger, output, and knobs are all functioning properly. All 40 drum sound EPROMs included with this auction have been verified and are also confirmed working."
