Arcade button modular sequencer!
YouTube Uploaded by itijik on Sep 7, 2011
Additional videos below.
"A quick demo of my home brew sequencer/programmer.
Function and look is loosely based on the Serge TKB, but the circuit design is my own. Here are the functions:
4 CV outputs x 16 steps
Gate output per step.
Shared gate output for all buttons.
Unique direction circuit has forward, backwards, and toggle mode inputs.
"Goto" input forces the sequence to reset to the last button pressed.
Hold input will stop the sequence where it is while active.
Reset input resets to step 0.
Binary inputs are not used at this point, due to a limitation of one of the chips used.
...oh, and sorry about the crap iphone vid/sound :p

Arcade button modular sequencer - Demo 2

"Showing off another way to use the "Goto" input. This time it is connected to individual steps instead of the button gate output. This configuration allows the sequence to be triggered in sync no matter when the buttons are pressed.

Arcade button sequencer - New prototype!
Published on Aug 5, 2012 by itijik
A little jam with my new arcade button sequencer prototype!
It is more narrow than the last version (I am using the old box for now).
New features include a 4 channel pulse sequencer, which is programmed using the existing buttons and a new program button. The four LEDs up top indicate which channel you are currently programming.
Modules being used:
-Tiptop 808 drums, triggered from the sequencer's new pulse sequence outputs
-Makenoise Echophon, with the Doepfer ring mod in the feedback loop.
-Livewire AFG sine output as the second input to the ring mod, modulated by a CV output of the sequencer at some points.
-Makenoise Maths triggered from the sequencer (same channel as the kick), to the pitch input of the Echophon.
A little compression was added in Ableton Live before rendering.

The panel art work is an adapted version of an original work by Stefan Davidovici. Permission to use it for this project has been given by Stefan himself. http://architecturedraftsman.blogspot.com/
The image was etched into the panel by Epinasty. http://www.epinasty.com/

Knobcon 2012 Performances
YouTube Published on Sep 16, 2012 by raulsworldofsynths
"A little montage of some of the night's performances by Caleb Condit, Low-Gain,Donald Crunk, and brownshoesonly(Nick Ciontea) on live video art. Before I get a million emails, brownshoesonly (Nick Ciontea) is using a custom LZX industries Visionary Modular. I didn't get footage of Suit and Tie Guy because my camera doesn't work when I go to bed early. Suit and Tie Guy did nourish my mind at his advanced sequencing workshop on Saturday though. Shot and Edited by Raul Pena."
