Vintage 70s GALANTI INSTAPIANO

"*Galanti/GEM instapiano synthesizer ::: Made in Italy using high quality components. This synthesizer appears to be in good working condition. The instapiano uses dicrete components for making its Piano/Bass/Harpsichord sounds, as well as incorporating SAJ110 (ITT) frequency divider components, for its keyboard controller board. This instrument comes in a soft case. It is missing the volume knob, but is still able to be moved manually."

"Being that this is a semi-modular synth, you can interface it with other CV-compatible modular pieces --- albiet the XS uses 1/4" jacks, similar to the Korg MS-20.
The XS is an underrated classic, capable of very warm and soft tones in addition to being very aggressive if you want it to be. For whatever reason, the XS has a reputation for being "too aggressive", which is usually because first-timers to the synth don't realize that each oscillator can overdrive in the mixer section if you turn the knobs to 100%. Also, the filter is a 2-pole multimode, so there is definitely a rawness to the sound that is a bit surprising for people coming from software. I find it to be a weird mix between an SH-101 and an MS-20, depending on how you use the envelopes and resonance.
This is a great first synth for those looking to get into modular stuff, too. If you don't like the filter, feed the oscillators into another modular and back into the XS. The CV options are great on this thing, and very fun to experiment with."
