"I was getting to know a new module that a manufacturer sent to me to test (announcement has not been made, so it's secret for now) and I decided to turn on the audio recorder while I played around. People who like drone, noise and maybe sequencer synth stuff and guessing games might be interested in this. People hoping to hear some pleasant music may be disappointed or possibly enraged. ;-)
I'll update the description to include module and manufacturer details hopefully soon.
Thanks for watching!"

"A video of the installation I made at my installation for the art festival Utrecht Down Under. Really nice to see all the reactions people have. Some people sat there and watched for over 20 minutes, absorbed by the sounds and moving thingies, hardcore! Cheers me up to see all the curious faces :)

VL-1 Micro Jam - Week 10 catchup - Royalty Free Electonica
Published on Aug 26, 2013 ChrisLody·67 videos
"This track was created using a Step Sister, a Casio VL-1 (not easy to play with massive meat shovel hands), Ibanez DM500 delay and an Inkel MX880E Mixer. Using the DM500 and the inkel mixer i was able to create a wide delay effect by running the DM500's normal and inverted outputs into the mixer separately and hard panning and EQing them. Another quicky this one as i've been too busy to do my weekly upload so i'm trying to catchup!
Right, so here's the idea. Trying to write, upload and give away a fresh piece of music on a roughly weekly basis. Will i be able to keep it up? Will i run out of ideas? Can i be bothered? How shoddy will they be? Does anybody care? God knows. But that's the point.
Basically the idea is to flex my musical muscles a bit. I have collected quite a bit of gear over the years and not much of it is getting used as much as i'd like, so this is my attempt to justify all those purchases whilst practising improving and getting ideas down fast as an antidote to procrastination. "Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working." as Picasso once said.
Royalty free for you to use for whatever under the creative commons license. Just rip the audio out of the video for now, i'll get these tracks uploaded to a dropbox account when i get my act together. Let me know if you use it, i'd be stoked."

HAMMOND NOVACHORD SN 1253

"The Hammond Novachord, often considered to be the world's first polyphonic synthesizer, debuted at the 1939 World's Fair and represents a major milestone in electronic keyboard musical instrument history. It uses many circuit and control elements found in modern synthesizers, particularly subtractive synthesis, in order to generate tones.
In particular, its divide-down oscillator architecture, based on vacuum-tube monostable circuits, permit all 72 notes to be played polyphonically by deriving several octaves of notes from twelve top-octave oscillators. A similar design was adopted in polysynthesizers released more than 30 years later by Robert Moog and A.R.P. The Novachord is very well suited to producing rich,"otherworldly" timbres than range from dense sustained string-like and vocal-like timbres to the sharp attack transients of a harpsichord or piano. With over 150 vacuum tubes inside, this synthesizer has a thick, harmonically rich sound that you can't get elsewhere.
An incredibly rare find, only around 1,000 Novachords are said to have ever been made, and it is estimated that there are fewer than 200 Novachords still in existence. Commercial sample libraries of this instrument alone cost $300; that's how rare, complex, and musically useful this instrument is!
This Hammond Novachord is priced to sell quickly, as we are looking to raise cashflow to cover certain impending expenses. We usually sell these for $8900 and up.
This Hammond Novachord was ordered from Hammond by a high-end Chicago hotel in the early 1940s with custom fluted legs and the original blonde-and-black finish, both of which it retains, as seen in the pictures. It also should be noted that the silver control panel faceplate is factory original, custom ordered in a brushed silver/steel. Regular Novachords have a brown control panel faceplate. This is the only Novachord with a custom factory finish and design that I have ever seen, other than the white Novachords that were at the 1939 World's Fair. This Novachord is in good cosmetic shape for its age.
When we bought this Novachord, it came with a folding dolly that was custom-built for the Novachord of the electronic music pioneer Paul Beaver in the 1960s. This dolly is the only dolly we have ever seen of its type, and its construction is ingenious. It has a hinged platform that unfolds outward in front of the main platform, which allows the player to set a bench on top of it, such that the Hammond Novachord never has to come off of its dolly in order to be played. The buyer of this Novachord will have the opportunity to purchase this dolly from us, as well as a spare Hammond Novachord power supply (see the picture of the spare power supply sitting on the concrete), for a reasonable additional price.
The inside electronics all appear to be original. The amps were removed at one point for purposes of additional safety during transport and are now back in place, but have not been plugged back in. We have not tested the Novachord and are leaving that to the buyer of this instrument, so we are selling this Novachord as is..."

Oberheim 4 Voice SEM Rack
via this auction - learn how to sell on eBay here
"For someone who doesn't mind a project, these are the elements of an incredible vintage Oberheim 4 Voice Rack! It needs work in terms of wiring in the back although it has a huge head start plus some bonus extras like an 8 channel midi to CV converter rack as well as the 20 space rack it is housed in (pictured) which is all included (with the front and back covers as well).
What you get in this auction is the following modules:
Oberheim SEM Programmer Modular with 8 cards (capable of controlling an additional 4 SEMS if you wanted to make it an 8 voice... note that only 4 SEMS are included in this auction)
4 X Oberheim SEM Synth Expander Modules (one of the best sounding analog synths and filters ever made)
1 X Polyphonic Keyboard Module
*Note that there is no output module so individual SEM outputs would have to be wired to jacks and run into a mixer (part of the "project' unfinished)
There's also a power supply but it is currently 220V (European power) however you can use a step down transformer available from Radio Shack (not included). Power cable not included.
1 X 8 Channel Midi to CV converter. I believe this was a custom kit and I have no idea if it works. Everything is sold AS IS with no returns. However, it was my understanding that it all did work it just needs someone to get it all wired up. No guarantees that it won't need some repair but I am optimistic that it won't need much if any actual repair and another GREAT thing about this analog synth is that it's discrete. No rare chips in Oberheim SEMS and most keyboard techs can work on them without a problem. So, as "vintage synth projects" go this one is one of the least risky because it's discrete and everything is accessible. In fact, if you REALLY wanted to make it an amazing project you would have all of the patch points brought out turning this into a complete modular synth. Everything is VERY easily accessible on the boards of the SEMS to get to the filter, amp, osc, lfo in/outs..."
