ARP Axxe Mono Synth with Mods SN 1623

"This Axxe has had some very usefule modifications. The print layout of this version of the Axxe caused a fairly large bleed from the noise-source output which has been reduced by adding a wire to rerout the noise-source. This Axxe has the 4075 filter module that ARP used in many different synthesizers. Sometime during the design phase, a resistor value was miscalculated; as a result, the 4075's cutoff frequency will not sweep up as high as ARP really wanted it to. This may be partially responsible for the commonly held view that ARP filters do not sound as "snappy" as Moog filters. Timothy Smith designed a modification which will allow the cutoff frequency to sweep up as high as ARP meant it to. The mod simply involves changing four resistors on the board from 4.7 to 2.2K. This Axxe has the mod and there was a very noticeable improvement in sound. There have also been two switches added. The first switch was added to disable the extremely irretating LFO reset function. When the switch is engaged the the LFO free-runs which is very useful for legato runs. The second switch when engaged disables the ADSR retriggering which is standard on Arp synths. The Moog synths use single triggering of the ADSR which is necessary for playing legato runs. Finally the irritating RCS type jacks have been replaced with switchcraft 1/4' jacks..."

Pics of the inside below.

"The keyboard-free Little Brother was designed as an extra voice for any ARP synth. You need to connect the CV, Gate and Trigger outs from the Axxe to equivalent ins on the Little Brother, and connect the audio out from the module to the audio in on the Axxe or Odyssey (note that the Little Brother also has its own audio input). The module could also be used in this way with any other (non-ARP) synth that has an audio input and the right standard of gate and CV inputs.

The Little Brother's spec is deceptively simple: four basic voices (Brass/saw, Hollow/square, Reed/pulse and Fuzz/dynamic pulse), and four octave settings (16-, 8-, 4- and 2-foot) comprise the sound-making facilities on offer, plus a simple LFO with speed, depth and a delay switch, and a volume control. That really is it, although any combination of the eight voice switches can be used at once, for a bigger sound. However, plumb it into the Axxe or Odyssey, and the two become one. Your Axxe/Odyssey now has a fairly complex extra voice, and an extra LFO. This is because the Little Brother's LFO is provided with an output socket, which can be easily patched into the Axxe's footpedal socket, where it can be pressed into service modulating the Axxe's/Odyssey's filter, totally independent of their own LFO.

There is an interesting Demo on YouTube that can be found here:" [posted here]

Roland MC-202 with Original Silver Gig Bag

"The MC-202 is a fantastic synthesizer. It is like a brilliant combination of the roland sh101 and roland tb303. The sequencer can play 2000+note sequences with 2 phrases at once. It's amazing. The synthesizer brain and controls are very much like the SH101. This is based from that with expansion on the Sh101 sequencer section which can inly sequence 100 notes. The Mc202 can do over 2000 notes. Otherwise, it has the same oscillators, filter and envelope controls of the Sh101 + a very nice LFO/mod section. This is really an incredible synth. The sequencing and design is also similar to a TB303. The sounds are totally fantastic and right there with the Sh101 sound. The MC202 can also sequence other analog synthesizers via the gate/cv in/out jacks as well as sync with analog devices via the early midi-type Roland ports."

SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS Prophet 10 Analog Synthesizer w/ Factory MIDI

"This is a listing for a rare SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS Prophet 10 Synthesizer w/Factory MIDI.

This may be one of the more cleaner Prophet 10's that you will come across. If you are a gear nut who has to have your gear pristine, even your vintage gear, then you should strongly consider this epic analog monster. Another one like this may not come around for a long time.

Installed in this 10 voice double-stacked prophet 5 wooly mammoth is the preferred MIDI option, and an internally installed fan to keep those 20 oscillators just cool enough to singe your eyebrows.

Notice the cleverly upgraded cassette drive mounted on the left side panel.

Back in the days when the Japanese analog synths makers were still trying to put hair on their chest, this American made mastadon was putting hair on other places. #BALLS

PRICE. Yes, our price is crazy, but so is this synth. We are selling this museum piece for a collector who really does not want to sell it, but as they say, everyone has a price, and this is his. So we are pricing it within reach of those who really want something special and can afford the best.

We do not want to disagree with this guy, he played a Klingon in Star Trek IV and he could crush us between his fingers a lot faster than any puny Vulcan nerve pinch. Buy this synth and spare us please!"
