"A video playing around with the side chain and volume gate effects on Rolands AIRA TR-8. Audio was just recorded straight into camera line input so not great quality.

The side chain presets 1 - 3, 5, 6 and 8 are ducking effects so they reduce the audio input volume whenever a step is triggered (a bit like when using a side chained compressor).

Presets 4 and 7 are both volume gate effects which means that they increase the volume when a step is triggered (open the gate wider to let more audio through). This is great for easily creating that classic trance gate effect."
