R.A.Moog 901a & 901b comparisons with hand-built units...
Published on Feb 1, 2016 noddyspuncture
"A second *comparison video* - this time including my 901a controller which wasn't ready when I made the first comparison video. This time though the sound isn't direct... but it's through quite a large sound system and should give you an idea..! These 901 units were built to the exact same spec as my original R.A.Moog 901a & 901b - the only difference are the two switches I incorporated into the 901b oscillator for a 4th down and a 5th up and also a switch to assign the oscillator to either my home built controller or one of my original Moog controllers. These custom modifications are only for making live playing easier...!"

"This unit has been well taken care of. The internal NiCad battery has been removed and a lithium battery with a socket has been fitted in its place. All PCB's look nice and clean condition. It's a good unit for a Kiwisix midi upgrade.
Cosmetically, it's in good condition given its age. There are some minor scratches here and there and some small chips to the side panels.
It's fully functional, and calibrated as per service manual.
I made a video, it's not terribly exciting but it's just to show all controls are functioning. Plenty of other videos on youtube showing what this synth is capable of."
