Roland TR8S drum machine - first pattern
Published on May 2, 2018 Seen From Space
"Baby's first pattern on the TR8S, with a kit of 11 samples all rolled in Logic. I'm thinking this would be the basis of a nice minimal dub track. The plan is to team up the TR8S and the Octatrack. Look out for that."
DIY Modular Synth Bass Samples from Seaweed Factory
via Seaweed Factory:
"I'd like to share some free bass sample packs I've made with my DIY modular synth. There are three packs, each featuring a different module. One uses a MFOS state variable filter, the second a CatGirlSynth Steiner filter and the third uses a CatGirlSynth wavefolder. There are a couple dozen patches in total, all multisampled. You can find them here."
BEHRINGER RD-808 // INTRODUCTION EXPLANATION
Published on May 6, 2018 LESINDES
"This is a demo + explanation of the BEHRINGER RD-808 all analog drum machine prototype. Since it has been a very early prototype with hand written lables I was not allowed to record the line out directly since the unit wasn't ready for a proper sound demo. A pity. But we can hear here something about the features the machine will have and also a rough idea of its sonic impact."

"I picked this up at an estate sale, not knowing if it would work and also somewhat familiar with the complex design of it. The seller didn't have any info as to where it was stored, last used, etc.
It powers on, and the lights come on, but it does not produce any sounds. All of the preset buttons still seem to work except for number 4.
I did a few of the diagnostics that people recommend you do when getting a Polymoog, here's what I found:
I disconnected/reconnected all of the plug cables to the boards, and also took out and reseated all of the individual soundcards (there's one for each key).
I tested the resistance, for the 15+V, 15-, and 5+vols. There is some sort of short on the +15, and the short goes away when I disconnect the right hand circuit board, so it's pretty likely that's where the problem lies. I also tested the voltage for all three, and they were fine, in that regard.
Once I realized that it wasn't a working unit, I didn't go any further and didn't dismantle the keyboard, as restoring this is beyond my meager skills. All keys are intact and responsive to touch (meaning, they return to the top when you release them). The circuit boards seem pretty clean, as do all of the individual key cards.
There are no signs of any sort of bloated capacitors or anything that looks fried, and no strange smells or smoke when it is plugged in and on. Does not include the legs.

WMD MONOLITH Eurorack Keyboard Synthesizer System

via this auction
"The Monolith system is a fully functional modular system combined with the familiarity of a performance keyboard. It can be intimidating to begin using a modular system, but, with our system, players will be able to design almost any sound they can imagine intuitively and easily once they are familiar with the rudiments of modular patching. The Monolith is a pro level monosynth that is at home in the studio and on the stage, but it also serves as a bridge for users to learn modular synthesis.

Access Virus A - Desktop Virtual Analog Synthesizer w/ Rack Mount

"Also including for free is the rack mount kit, as seen in the pictures attached to my desk rack. To install and uninstall is very easy, just unscrew 5 screws from the back and either attach the rack ears to mount it or the desktop stand if you want to use it on a flat surface."

See the second image below for the desk stand. Note the keys are not built in; it's just resting on them. That said, an affordable, light, three octave keyboard controller with a space to rest desktop synths could be a pretty cool product.
Update: speak of the devil... this just came in. I'm guessing that with blank panels would work. Curious how much it weighs though.
