"The Yamaha SK50D is a massive (in sound and scale) late 80's analogue combo synthesiser with 6 different sections. It comprises of 2 different hammond-esque organ sections (one per keyboard) with leslie output, a Monosynth section (with aftertouch & CV-Gate), Solina-esque string synth & polysynth sections, and a seperate organ bass section.

It features dual 61-key keyboards for playing all the sections (including using the lower register of the bottom keyboard for the organ bass section), if you can hunt down the elusive Yamaha BP-2 organ bass pedals, you can use them with the SK50D to play the organ bass synth that way too.

This synthesiser is in excellent condition for its age & sounds fantastic."

"Here's some major and free updates to the Make Noise and Soundhack Morphagene. Gene Smoothing, 1v/oct tracking and phase modulation/distortion and clock sync ramp LFOs are just some of the features. Well worth checking out for Morphagene owners or anyone looking to be tipped over the edge.

Make Noise Quad Multi Mode Gate (QMMG)

Published on May 9, 2018 MAKEN0ISE

"The QMMG is returning in a strictly limited black and gold edition, to be sold in person only, at Make Noise headquarters in Asheville, North Carolina during the Make Noise 10-Year Celebration Weekend. (Information here: http://www.makenoisemusic.com/yr-cele...)

The Quad Multi-Mode Gate is a huge riff on the original Buchla 292 Quad Lo-Pass Gate, including a Mix Out and all of the original feature set. The QMMG offers additionally: HiPass mode, Voltage Controlled Feedback, Direct Coupling and Normalizations so that multiple channels may easily be used together to create Bandpass Gates, steeper HP, BP or LP Filters or even something like a traditional Synthesizer Voice Architecture.

The QMMG contains no fewer than 8 Vactrols!

The reissue QMMG’s signal path is identical to the original. The Top board was re-engineered to use analog pots for mode selection instead of analog switches. The only change to the bottom board is the addition of reverse power protection."

Aftermovie Superbooth 2018 Berlin Modular Synth Fest

Published on May 9, 2018 Leon van Bokhorst

"For me, Superbooth 2018 Berlin is about community. Although the main topic of the event is modular synths, new Eurorack modules, instruments, demonstrations, and DIY workshops, I found the amazing visitors the most interesting.

This little aftermovie is a Superbooth virtual walkthrough.

To all people I've missed, hope to see you next year."

Superbooth 2018 - This Is Not Rocket Science Edge Cutter & Rectangular Thing

Published on May 9, 2018 DivKidVideo

"Stijn from TINRS / This Is Not Rocket Science not only wins the best dressed man award for Superbooth 2018 but also has a new envelope Edge Cutter which like Wobbler (Wobbler was for LFOs though) takes a basic concept and expands it simply, effectively and provides some great added little tricks I haven't seen elsewhere. There's also Rectangular Thing which will be a highly limited run of a synth voice they currently have.
