"KVINTET is a transistor portable polyphonic instrument produced by Katchkanar radio equipment factory "Formanta", which is the manufacturer of such well-known makes of synthesizers as Polivoks, Formanta, Manual, Maestro etc. It bears the same logo on the package and retains some of its most impressive capabilities.

Note it only has a single Tone knob from Soft to Hard on the left, and a vibrato switch on the right. Interesting piece of kit.

"I haven't done a Nyborg 24 tweaking video so I did this one. I have to warn you it can get a bit rowdy sound wise with a few ear splitting frequencies. No real plan only than to tweak a few different sounds, which sometimes sound good and sometimes are just noise! hence the name of the video :)"

"For the next video in our Start Making series, we headed to a skate park to pull a load of samples and then used a Launchpad Pro (and only what comes in the box) to make a trap track.

Shortwave eurorack techno drone with RF Nomad

"Using the eurorack RF Nomad by Evaton Technologies a Shortwave Eurorack Receiver, to spice up a techno/drone Jam,
This was recorded a while back (facebook live) and was one of my first jams with the Malekko Heavy Industry voltage block. I got stuck on a single channel single step because that was as much fun as I could handle at the time :) The voltage block is controlling the Fonitronik Thomas Henry 555 VCO with no filter or vca, just raw oscillator goodness.
Both the RF Nomad and the TH 555 are DIY builds from Thonk
