"This listing is for a Cwejman S1 MK2 Semi-Modular Analogue Synthesizer also compatible with eurorack format in mint condition. Includes original packaging.

The S1 is a semi-modular, analogue monophonic synthesizer. It is easy to get started with since it is prepatched for optimal use of its sound producing possibilities and eliminates the need for external connections between modules during use. Each module can be disconnected and used separately, e.g. to control or be controlled by other instruments. This flexibility enables and simplifies experimentation with creation and reproduction of sound.

We can mention some important features of the S1:
* Three oscillators with seven basic waveforms
* Ring modulator
* Noise generator with two three noise shapes
* Low pass filter with selectable 4 / 6 poles and quasi band pass mode
* Multi mode filter with selectable 2 to 6 poles and three modes
* Wide range envelope generators
* Master amplifier with build-in overdrive stage
* LFO with seven basic waveforms and wide rate range
* Extensive modulation of, virtually, all synthesis parameters
* Build-in MIDI to CV/gate converter with 16-bit resolution

Several parameters can be voltage controlled by external signals and, simultaneously, control external devices by the build-in MIDI converters voltage outputs (see Rear Panel). The S1 is a stand alone instrument and the possibility with patching and integrating it into an external modular (or semi-modular) synthesizer makes it extremely flexible..."

In addition to the SCSI2SD hard drive functionality, the 1.0 Plus Operating System contains all of the great/unique features of the EMAX SE Plus, including:

Spectrum Interpolation Synthesis: This provides a complete digital additive synthesizer. Up to 24 sine wave frequencies can be added to from Spectrums. These Spectrums can be placed at up to 24 time slice locations, so that the sound varies over time.

Transform Multiplication: TM synthesis imposes the harmonic characteristics of one sample upon a second sample to create a new sample.

This sampler is fully functional, and sounds like nothing else. I've listed it as Very Good for the following reasons:
There are a few cosmetic blemishes here and there, many of which I have captured via close-up image
The custom overlay fits perfectly, but the LEDs underneath are off center by about a millimeter; it is very minor, but worth noting
The bottom slider, which navigates through the menus, is slightly sensitive when at its lowest level/position; also very minor, but worth noting"

"These are rare. Only a few hundred made I believe. Disputes in how much the engineer Ken Freeman would be paid I believe drove back production to where other competition hit the market first (the Solina and Crumar Stringman). But the Freeman has a unique place in that it uses 25 oscillators to produce a more vibrant sound than the other string machines
Freeman used low frequency oscillators (6 of them) patched to note groups not usually hit together. (diminished 5ths) The Freeman is big to house all the circuitry and they didn't exactly use the lightest materials.

The volume pedal DOES come with this one. The volume pedal is rather specific to this instrument. It has a feature that allows a 1/2 step bend to the pitch. It works fine. I never had the music stand.

Works great. No power cord, but you can use a regular electrical extension cord as long as it has an outlet on the top, not the side."

"In excellent working condition, it has been fully serviced and calibrated. The MIDI interface has been installed recently and it is in fully working order. The shape is really good as well, it has some small scratches around the bender board and the back panel above the midi sockets.But it does not affect the working condition of the synthesizer. This string machine is a great synthesizer, really underrated. It has a really power full bass and a beautiful strings and synth part. The chorus (ensemble) when activated makes the sounds even greater."

"Arturia Micro Freak right out of the box. It sounds GREAT!
Proof that Digital Synthesizers are back in a BIG way!
My only issues are simple, but for the price I can't complain...
It does not have internal effects or external input.
You'll need to master playing the cool "keys",
you might accidentally hit them while playing other "keys"...
-I will play the JP-8000 to control the Micro Freak next video :)
Plus they made the LEDs a different color than the
Winter NAMM show model. I WANTED BLUE LEDs!!!!
Not cool, Arturia! NOT COOL! Anyone with the NAMM
show model wanna trade?? Seriously! I want BLUE LEDs!!!!
Other than that this synthesizer is RAD!!! Like, Totally!!!
