"An On Bast is the moniker of electronic music producer and composer Anna Suda from Wrocław, Poland. Her largely improvised concerts, utilising hardware instruments, hop between melodic techno, experimental and ambient genres.
The deep and understanding relationship between Anna and her machines is instantly apparent during her performances as she glides effortlessly from modular synthesiser to drum machine via effects units."

SUPERBOOTH 2019 - Sonicsmith experience

Published on Aug 4, 2019 Sonicsmith

"This video shows Superbooth 2019 through Sonicsmith lens.
It was the first superbooth I have gone to without renting a booth. Luckily the lovely people from the Electronic Music School offered me to put Sonicsmith products in their booth. It worked out great cause I met some lovely people from Koln and Berlin branches plus I could show the products but still feel free to walk around and film what was going on.

You will see some interesting booths and live shows that I found interesting.

Special thanks to:

Meet The Makers - Dave Rossum

Published on Jun 7, 2019 sonicstate

"Dave Rossum is one of those people who's influence is easy to miss.
His early involvement in electronic music instrument design started with the E-mu systems modular and quickly developed into the early digital systems where he was a pioneer.
His engineering and design work went on to bring us some real classics that shaped entire genres and generations of music: Emulator Samplers, SP12 and SP1200 being the most well-known.

We caught up with Dave at Superbooth this year and had a great chat.

As well as his own products, Dave also has a lot of input in other products, also being a technical consultant for Universal Audio amongst other things."

"Better Than The Best Of Both Worlds" Hybrid Polysynth 'Summit' from Novation // Superbooth 2019

Published on May 30, 2019 DivKidVideo

"**PLEASE NOTE** Text used on screen in the video is from the Novation Peak page (link below). But as the products share the technology you can apply those things to the features and design of Summit.

Summit is more than two Peaks thrown together. We can think of the Summit as two Peaks in that it's 16 voices (rather than 8) and it can also be split/layered and multi timbral which opens a huge range of power for sound design and performance. Summit (with more real estate thanks to the 61 note keyboard) breaks out more controls such as FM for the oscillators, loop switching for the envelopes and more. I was impressed with Peak and I'm impressed with Summit too.

In the video I chat briefly to Danny who designed the Summit, Nick about the engineering and working with Chris Huggett (designer of the OSCar and Wasp synths) and Chris Calc runs us through the synth. I also have patches from the launch day event cut into the video. So you'll get some background, a product overview and plenty of sounds too."
