Gotharman's SpazeDrums: 8 voices?

gotharman

"Testing out some possible new functionality for the next SpazeDrum update (for both SpazeDrums). Please note that the 4 extra voices do not have any analog circuitry. They are purely digital voices. The samples used are from Drum Drops (Premier and Rogers kits).

Jan Hammer - Crockett's Theme (Miami Vice) Cover

KOSmusic

"This is my cover of one of the fabulous tracks created by Jan Hammer for the iconic 80s TV series 'Miami Vice': Crockett's Theme.

To recreate the sound of the guitar as close as possible to the original one, I created a virtual instrument (playing various notes/slides/palm muting/etc. of my Les Paul) and thanks to the synth I was able to play it giving it the electronic effect, and recreate all of them the small pitch bends characteristic of Jan Hammer's legendary guitar.

The bass line having been created with an arpeggio in random mode (on the Jupiter-8), in certain points of the track it can be a little different from the original.

Thanks to my wife's passion for sewing, we decided to try to recreate the 'Crockett' style t-shirt and blazer from scratch, with the fabrics we had available at home.

Special thanks to the Brogan brothers of 'Modeling' and John Wilburn for their incredible support!

It was really difficult to recreate the track and video of this classic (it took a few months and a lot of energy), but I hope you enjoy my tribute to this classic ;)

***Please note: my videos are not live performances, but are music videos, accompanying for the covers I create. The original graphics and music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I am just a fan and I recreate animations/graphics/tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these great timeless classics***"

"1U rack filter built like a tank in Germany from Mode Machines. Bought new a few months ago and used a couple times, basically open box item, mint condition. Ships with all original materials plus Eu -> US adapter.

The OMF-1 is a four pole true analogue filter. The product is based on the famous transistor ladder filter developed by Dr Bob Moog in the 1960s. A front panel pot controls the filter cut-off frequency, another controls the resonance. The resonance control is not configured to cause volume drop when turned up.

The filter can be made to oscillate if required."

"there's a cool article in Sound on sound about the 2 :
Opening up my RS202 produced a second surprise. The boards in the Roland may be laid out differently from those in the MX202, but apart from a bit of point-to-point cabling in the Multivox where the Roland uses connectors, you could pull a board out of one of these synths, and stick it in the other. I'm not talking just about geometry here. Other than the keyboard mechanism and the details of which screw goes where, these boards are the same, right down to component level. In other words, the MX202 and the RS202 are the same instrument

Everything works, got that great analog sound, and you turn on those chorus options and bam ahhhh here it is, that Classic Roland vintage sound.

These are getting rare and will go up in value with the price of good analog vintage Roland synths going up by the week.
*Vintagesynth website gives the RS-202 a 4 stars/excellent"
