"Unique-sounding and fairly unique-looking: the most thorough-going of the modelling synths of the early 90s. This, with thoughtful programming, can make a vast range of acoustic and electronic sounds. The quality and depth is astonishing.
Some of the factory programs are wonderful as they are - musical and expressive - but modifying them to your taste is quite do-able. Starting from scratch on a sound and many increadinle new sounds appeared!
Duophonic, bi-timbral, but somehow seeming more than that - very powerful. This has had the frequently problematic disk drive replaced with an HxC emulator - not a trivial task, as it happens. Cosmetically, the VL1 is in cery good cosmetics and workibg conditions

* EXCELLENT condition for a 50 years old synth (See pix). Some minors scratches on the case.
* The equipment has been extensively tested in our studio. It is guaranteed fully functional.

"Up for sale is a restored Ensoniq Mirage DMS-1. This unit has been fully recapped by me using 100% new Nichicon high grade capacitors sourced from Digikey.

I will include 10+ floppies including some samples, some blank disks, format utility and alternate operating systems. I didn’t swap the drive to a usb emulator but it is pretty easy and possible.

In the photo the cover is not screwed on, that is just for internal photos all screws are included."
