Wave Terrain Synthesis Module Audio Output

"Using the wave terrain module in 'fixed trajectory mode' as an audio rate oscillator. The output of the wave terrain module is sent through a VCA controlled by MI Tides running in envelope mode, before being sent to the output. The Synthstrom Deluge is being used to sequence the wave terrain module (1 V/Oct frequency modulation) and provide the gate for the envelope.

Unlike the 2DSINE terrain used in other videos, this terrain features a number of square-wave-like discontinuities at its edges. This can lead to sudden timbral changes when the trajectory wraps around to the other side.

The end of the video gives a close up of the screen, so you can get a better look at the trajectory. The fixed trajectory shows up slightly better on the video than the free trajectory point, but it's still a lot clearer in real life!"

"This sample drum module was made with Seeeduino Xiao which processes wav data converted to binary as a sample program that is saved to internal memory, in my scheme I did not attach a trigger switch and bipolar voltage safety because I only used one 9 volt power supply. you can download the schema and the ino program that I'm already using on my google drive

"Hello
Today, with Osi-Op, we will create basically 3 separate channels (kick-snare and hihat) with this synth voice, with a monophonic synthsizer that can only play one sound at a time, that is, only one note.
We're going to think about it this way.
As if each step in the sequencer is a separate drum channel…
or each step is like a separate patch...
If I explain in more detail
First step - it will be kick.
The second third and fourth steps sound like hihat. higher pitched and more glitch sounds… step five - snare.
Again the sixth, seventh and eighth steps will be like hihat
In this way, we will write 3 channels at the same time with a monophonic synthesizer, where we normally play mono sound and make a mono patch.
When modulations come into play, more than 3 channels can be heard, but basically it is useful to think in this way.
When all the sounds are recorded on the computer, we will have only one mono channel.
It is possible to record these sounds by separating them.
At this point, your choice depends on what you want to do.
Either way will sound professional.
While installing this patch, I used 3 osc + 1 noise +3 lfo + 2 vca + 2 lpg + 4 env + 4 cv sequencer + 4 gate sequencer + 1 dual switcher + 1 granular.
Only I processed the master channel of all drums with a granular and added it on this patch in parallel.

I couldn't get it any louder without it sounding squashed and awful...
If you're listening on proper speakers, give that volume knob a little boost on this one! ;)

Some glitchy samples made with the 'Beads' Eurorack Module were given out for people to get inspiration from this week for the challenge, and I picked my favorite glitches to load into a Eurorack sample playback module (Squarp Rample) and am playing them back in random order throughout. The entire piece was created around those glitchy samples you hear layered in the deep background.

I sampled the, 'Holy Crap, Time Flies' vocal from Ricky Tinez. (*who has a really great voice for sampling!). ;)

Great challenge, and it gave me the inspiration to MAKE SOMETHING!! Woot!

ALL AUDIO is being fed into my mixer and then recorded with stereo outs to an MPC Live! The track was then maximized in Izotope Ozone 9 on PC.

I then sync up the audio/video manually in my video editor: Luma Fusion on iPad.

"It has just been recently been completely refurbished by Synth City in Chicago with a total overhaul to make it 100% functional and give it a new lease of life. The repair invoice was close to $1,000... A modern three prong connector has been fitted and cv gates for the 2 separate voices have been fitted to the existing jacks at the back to keep it as original as possible. It is in very good cosmetic condition for its age but the tolex is not 100% perfect as can be seen on pictures..."
