Fully tested, works perfectly, no corrosion in the battery area, didn't need to clean the keyboard at all, it looks like this unit was opened and maybe used a couple times before getting boxed back up."

"PHYSICAL CONDITION: Fair - Two of the keys on the keyboard are missing. There are a few screws missing from the back and two missing fader knobs. All internal components are intact. There are some minor scuffs around the sampler as well as a few etched-out marks from the previous owner. Otherwise, all of the knobs and buttons are intact and ready for use."

"Roland Vocoder Plus Mark I from the 1970s. These are incredible studio tools. The vocoder is amazing especially when running external sources through it. Unfortunately, the string section on this unit is intermittent so it will need to be repaired in that aspect but everything else is fully functional. It does have some heavy cosmetic wear and has clearly been used on the road."

"It just got a tune-up from Custom Vintage Keyboards in North Hollywood, CA. All the audio outs and ins are clean, the midi's clean, and all the buttons and knobs work like new. However; the program light display needs a bulb, but it's a cheap and easy fix."

"Video of product at bottom. This is an electronic wizards dream. It lights up and comes on but the presets all sound the same. It functions as in emits a sound but it needs repair. I'm afraid it's going to have to be AS-IS as I don't have the talents to repair this rare beauty. Their might be only a handful of these in existence. This ultra-rare analog monosynth is called the Proteus 1. This is a monophonic analog synth with 16 memory locations! It's based on CEM chips (as used in the Sequential Circuits Pro-One and many other classic vintage synths). Its got two oscillators with oscillator sync, an envelope generator, LFO, lowpass resonant filter, glide and noise-gen. This synth is unique for a vintage monosynth in that it has patch memory which can be programmed by the user and also has a series of lights to show when knob settings match internal patch settings."
