The Roland System 100 Synthesizer - variations on a theme ( Part 3) #modularsynth #synth #sequence
video upload by S R DHAIN
"Sometimes, one idea can lead to multiple variations on a theme. And many 60s, 70s & 80s Universal Studios t.v. shows utilsed this mindset with motifs created around the title music.
In Part 1, the sequencer was switched live to go from 4 steps to 8 steps. The basic time signature remained the same.
In Part 2, the sequencer's timing was being changed by bank B's pots. Noise was also used to add a drum part
In this third part, we're still hearing the same 8 notes, but the sequencer speed is being constantly changed by the sample & hold output from the 102 expander.
Note that the low drone pad is also being triggered from the same clock output, but without the lag to smooth out the ramp voltages it's firing out to the 104 sequencer; the speed of the melodic sequence ascends & descends accordingly.

Tabletop Session No.6 – "53" by Schäfer (Roland Juno-60 & Space Echo RE-201)
"This Jam Session is based on a work in progress of mine: „53“. The Roland Juno-60 was run through a Roland Space Echo RE-201 tape echo. The gate signal which controls the arpeggiator’s speed came from the omnipotent Pamela’s New Workout Module. The VCF was modulated with up to four different CV Sources (Sample&Hold, LFO, positive envelope and negative „ducking“ envelope)."
3/17/24 ElectroComp EML 200 + Lexicon PCM 70
video upload by Cfpp0
"The VCO 2 pitch knob is all the way counter clockwise until 0:55, when it is turned up and the VCO goes into audible range and more FM occurs between the two VCOs. That knob continues to get turned and also some on time changes on the switch. Lexicon PCM 70 provides the stereo delay."

"Scale-aware chord mode recognize the current scale, using note interval in the scale notes, not the interval in chromatic scale."
Kurzweil K2700 FUN Tip ! Splitted Aftertouch
video upload by Barb
"Hi,
This short video is about using some FUNs (Functions) of the K2700 to create a splitted aftertouch. You also can do it by duplicate a layer and adjust differently the settings on each, but that would be gross ;-))) There are so much things to do with the FUNs, this video is just a basic sneak peek...Have fun watching !"
06 Play the RCA Synthesizer in the privacy of your own home!
video upload by AutomaticGainsay
"Here is part six of a multi-part demonstration of a sound set of samples of the iconic 1957 RCA Mark II Synthesizer for the Arturia MicroFreak!
The instruments in the theme music (including some drums) were created entirely with samples of the RCA Mark II played on the Arturia MicroFreak, and multitracked. Some drums were assembled out of GarageBand loops."
