"Am extremely sad to sell my Steiner-Connolly Synthacon

This was handmade by Robbie Connolly (The Killers) and his team under the direction of his neighbor Nyle Steiner who built and designed the original Steiner-Parker Synthesizers in the 70's. Made with real through hole circuitry and manufactured by a small team in Provo, Utah these are as luxury of a synth as you can get.

I had the pleasure of working on their team which is where I earned this, but now must part ways with it to pay off some debt.

I am really not eager to part with this, so it's priced accordingly...

Everything works, no visible imperfections I am aware of. Been kept in my home studio.

This is serial number 10, and I am unsure as to whether they're making more of these or not..."

Supercritical Synthesizers Interview Superbooth 2026

video upload by Take the Fear out the Gear

"Hi everybody this time we bring you the Supercritical Synthesizers Interview Superbooth 2026

Redshift 6 is a true sonic powerhouse. With 16 analog oscillators per voice and a 4-pole analog multimode filter featuring drive and character controls, it effortlessly delivers everything from super saw stabs to lush pads and from unison basses to vintage poly synth sounds. The Redshift 6’s 4 envelopes and 4 LFOs, combined with complex yet easy-to-assign modulation possibilities and the 32-slot mod matrix, offer endless possibilities for sound design.

Each of the Redshift 6’s six voices features a Demon Core Oscillator, capable of generating up to 16 simultaneous analog oscillators per voice. These oscillators can be assigned in various ways, from lush polyphonic textures to a massive 96-oscillator unison.

To take full advantage of the 96 oscillators almost endless sonic possibilities, the Demon Core Oscillator has various Engines, giving users a range of powerful options to choose from. Whether it’s traditional twin oscillators, supersaw engines, flanging phase sync, or transistor organ modes, each Engine is designed to be intuitive, highly controllable, and fully modulatable.

The filter core is an analog 4-pole state variable filter that is digitally controlled to act like almost any classic vintage synthesizer filter and more. In addition to the oscillators and filters, Redshift 6 has all the features expected of a modern synth – plenty of modulators, flexible voice routing, multitimbrality, MPE, and DSP effects."

M569, Control Yourself! Part 7

video upload by John L Rice

"Just some experimentation using a Moon Modular 569 sequencer as an envelope generator for fun and education. 🤓

Modules from the following companies were used:
Moon Modular
Oakley Sound/Krisp1 For You

A first look at the NEW Q210 Complex Noise module

video upload by George B.

"I purchased this module because I wanted the metallic noise that works well as a cymbal. It also has white and pink noise, though the pink noise is very different than what I'm used to. That's a good thing, having another version. The chaos sound is very interesting and adjustable. The Grainy section can alter the chaos sound wildly but also accepts external sounds. My only wish here is they did not include any CV control over that section. There is a random gate feature I will look into in another video.
Overall I like the module as it has a number of sounds I don't currently have which should be inspiring. On the random gate subject, have a look at this video where I created random gates using noise, the sample and hold, and the Q156 comparator."

SynthCube gets a mention.

Followup on the Q210 from Synthesizers.com

video upload by George B.

"After the last video I got deeper into the Random Gates portion of the Q210. I found I could tame it using a second "gate" like the Q128 Switcher or any VCA. Running the Random Gate from the Q210 into one of these external gates and clocking it with the sequencer I can get random gates that hit right on the beat."

Jeannie 2 Synthesizer - Wavetable MAP

video upload by Rolf Degen

"Jeannie 2 Synthesizer - Wavetable MAP

DIY blog: https://www.sequencer.de/synthesizer/..."

A few things stood out to me:

1. This is a great view of all 256 waveforms in a given wavetable.
2. It's a great view of scanning the waveforms in a given wavetable.
3. And most importantly, what surprised me was the ability to scan along all four axes in any direction. It was always my impression that scanning a wavetable was linear/bidirectional only. This is essentially Vector blended with Wavetable synthesis. Imagine traversing it with a rolling ball or a joystick controler like on the Yamaha TG33.

ESP32-S3 Polysynth - Absolutely rocking it!

video upload by Bad Dog Designs

"An update on the ESP32-S3 Polysynth build.
I've got the sound engine working really well, and it now has patch storage and retrieval, along with 2 wavetables - .wav files loaded off an SD card.

Next up is making it look pretty to match the sounds it can make!

In the video, all the sound is out of the back of the DAC, but as the synth is not multitimbral ( the ESP32 would melt ) I've multitracked a couple of tunes to demo the sort of sounds it can make.

Headphones on, and bonus points if you can identify the tracks!!"
