"Extremely rare outside Japan - apparently Moridaira / Denki Sangyo, the firm SCI employed to make the Six-Trak, decided to make a few changes to that design and re-market it as the Pro-8 in Japan. Five octaves instead of four, eight voices instead of six, and split instead of multi-timbral. SCI then eventually made a couple more changes, and introduced it as the Split-8 in the rest of the world.
This, like all Pro-8s, started out as 100V Japanese power, but has been converted to 240V.
Lots of little points of interest: for instance, this one has a Denki maker label but also a Sequential Circuits one. They both call it Model 608, and SCI have a serial number:02033. 608 presumably because the design was changed from six to eight voices?
It's not a Prophet-5 for sure.... but if you like the Six-Trak sound you'll like this a lot. And it's rare as anything :) Plus it's probably the only synth in the world to have a scribble-strip matrix for entering your program sound names. The matrix looks unused.
Packing 18GBP."

TEISCO 110F DUOPHONIC SYNTH SN 4790

"Dating from 1980–1982, the Teisco 110F is a two-VCO synth with unique LFO features, a wonderful-sounding VCF that can go into self oscillation, a HPF and, unusually, an eight-band filter bank to sculpt the sound further. The LFO can be applied to either VCO, and a control allows you to shape its emphasis to occur near the front or back end of the waveform, or conventionally, in the middle.
The synth also features portamento that can be set to function with every note played or only when notes are played legato, giving you more expressive control over your performance.
In addition, the 110F has ring modulation, white and pink noise, a mixer, two EGs, and three rubber pads (to the left of the keyboard) that can be pressed to apply the vibrato or wow effect at will, to change the VCF cut-off frequency on the fly, and to change pitch up or down.
Perhaps the coolest feature are the numerous LED displays that show signal strength and the green arrows that light up to show signal flow.
And just to repeat, this synth is duophonic, allowing you to play two notes at a time .
CV and Gate connections are available on the front, along with an external input jack. Any instrument plugged in here replaces VCO 2 in the signal chain.
Everything works properly. As shown in the photos, all the LEDs light, as do the arrows. The LEDs light up based on signal strengh; I put everything at maximum to demonstrate that all the LED segments are working, but under most conditions they will not all be lit at the same time. All the knobs and switch caps are original. The three touch pads to the left of the keyboard function as they should. Some owners complain that theirs have become unusable with age. While the pads on this unit are a little hard to press down, they are responsive and work just fine.
The synth has some nicks on the end pieces, as shown in the photos. Overall, the synth presents very nicely and has a clean and bright front panel."
