AVP Synth MBS-100 and ADS-7 mk2

Supposedly, only 30 MBS-100 were produced. It was first featured on the site back in 2017 here, where you can find pics and full details.

Anyone confirm only 30 were produced? You can find a couple of demos of one in prevoius posts here, but no mention of how many were produced. If you know, feel free to comment at the bottom of this post.

"AVP MBS-100 Bass Sythesizer. Incredibly rare only 30 were Hybrid analog-digital synthesis;

Voltage-controlled digital oscillators (VCDO) — two, each with four waveforms: saw, square, pulse 1 (25% rate), pulse 2 (10% rate).

Note: Pulse 1 and 2 are equivalent to PMW but have fixed positioning similar to the likes of «Aelita», «Polivoks» synthesizers for e.g.

Octave ranges — 3 octaves for OSC1 and 5 octaves for OSC2;

Voltage Controlled Filter (VCF) — one fully analog 12 db/oct low pass filter with cutoff and resonance parameters;

Envelope Generators (ADSR) – two;

Voltage Controlled Amplifier (VCA) – one, fully analog distortion effect selection switch;

Low frequency oscillator (LFO) — one with two waveform options (square and triangle) to control the VCF.

MIDI interface — MIDI In, MIDI Thru (16 channels + Omni);

Audio output — one mix output (mono 6.3 mm jack);

Controls — 19 knobs, 3 switches, 4 buttons and 11 LED indicators;

Case: durable steel case with wooden cheeks;

"In this video the Elektron Digitakt sampling drum machine is making the drum sounds and sequencing the AVP Synth MBS-100. The MBS-100 is a hybrid synthesizer with two digital oscillators and an analog filter and VCA. The MBS-100 has two oscillatros, an LFO, ADSR for both the VCF and VCA and a distortion built into the VCA.

"In the first part of the video demo, MBS-100 is being controlled by Korg SQ-1 step sequencer. No eq nor fx are applied. In the second part you can hear MBS-100 multitracked in a DAW via MIDI, no EQ has been applied only some reverb and delay at times. Drums are sequenced externally!"

AVP Synth has produced a number of soviet inspired synths including the MAD-5 and HMS-100. Their latest is the MSB-100.
