Published on Aug 21, 2019 Modal Electronics
"An inverted filter envelope helps bring the squelch to this bass patch on CRAFTsynth 2.0. SKULPT was played on top to add keys that creep in and eventually take over."

One Simple Trick To Synthesise Your Kick
Published on Aug 12, 2019 Modal Electronics
"Here's a quick video showing a very simple hack to get you from 0-kick under 45 seconds.
Holding the EG button on either SKULPT synthesiser or CRAFTsynth 2.0 allows you to edit ALL EGs simultaneously.
This is a nice time-saving feature for those building their own sounds that we don't often show off."

A quick tip for jamming with multiple devices - SKULPT & CRAFTsynth 2.0
Published on Jul 31, 2019 Modal Electronics
"Here's a quick tip for jamming with multiple devices.. send the same MIDI to everything!
Here we have captured some chords that we are sending from the Keystep to both SKULPT (pads) & CRAFTsynth 2.0 (arp).
This shows how, with very little input, you can get a lot working quickly in return. We have added some drums and a little reverb (thanks to a lovely Eventide Orville) to gel everything together."

Friday Jam #15 - 8 Voice SKULPT & CRAFTsynth 2 0
Published on Jul 26, 2019 Modal Electronics
"On pad and bass duties we have SKULPT synthesiser. We poly chained two together to make an 8-voice SKULPT! This is backed up by a pair of soft leads from CRAFTsynth 2.0 and some skittering drums (real drums and some percussion made on both synthesisers)"

First Look: Modal Electronics CRAFTsynth 2.0 Now Available in Australia
Published on Jul 21, 2019 Noisegate
"CRAFTsynth 2.0 is a monophonic wavetable synthesiser from Modal Electronics and shares the same form factor as their SKULPT synthesiser. Craft is considerably smaller and cheaper than SKULPT, but sounds dramatically different. There’s really nothing else that sounds like it anywhere near this price point."

Fraday Jam #14 - SKULPT & CRAFTsynth 2 0
Published on Jul 19, 2019 Modal Electronics
"It's raining here in the UK so we've got a dark jam going on at HQ.
SKULPT synthesiser is providing some morphing jazzy chords while CRAFTsynth 2.0 delivers a devastatingly chewy wavetable sub-bass.
Nice."

Preset Management in MODALapp
Published on Jul 1, 2019 Modal Electronics
"Here's a super quick tutorial on preset management in MODALapp.
We guide you through importing and exporting SysEx files, adding local (in-app) banks (so you don't need to overwrite any factory patches) and arranging / exporting a new bank from the onboard toolbox.
These methods apply to both CRAFTsynth 2.0 & SKULPT synthesiser. Let us know what you think!"

"Friday Jam #12 - SKULPT is providing a key bed that is later backed up by the 008R which widens the sound. CRAFTsynth 2.0 is playing a lead with some nice wobbly aftertouch action while some live drums have been chopped into CRAFTrhythm and re arranged."

Modal CRAFTsynth 2 0 Quick Overview of the LFOs
Published on Jun 17, 2019 Modal Electronics
"A Quick overview of the LFO's on CRAFTsynnth 2.0.
We quickly show how to assign the LFOs with a simple hold and twist assignment and adjust the LFO's rate.
You will notice on both LFOs, once we pass halfway, or continue the below 0, the LFOs snap to divisions of either the clock or, on LFO-2, the frequency of the note you are playing.
LFO-2 snapping to divisions of the note you are playing can be used to great affect with growling patches to introduce harmonically related overtones that transform the sound.
You can find this technique used throughout the onboard presets. See "Ochre Lead" or "Proxima Pad" for some interesting examples.
SKULPT synthesiser users can check out many presets using the same technique too, for example the "Bit Growl" preset."
