YouTube via bigcitymusic

"Too much percussion! It starts off with some drum sounds from the Diabolically modified 707. The 707 is clocking the x0xb0x 303 clone. The x0x's output is running to the mega-sweet Diabolical Devices Fuzz Burglar guitar pedal. It self oscillates and has twelve different settings for the internal oscillator as well as a momentary drop switch that lets you drop the pitch by about two octaves. The x0xb0x is also controlling the maniacal Flight of Harmony Infernal Noise Machine via control voltage. The INM has all sorts of sounds just waiting to make you sick to your stomach;) The joysticks are fun too."

"Greetings,
At long last, the backlog is nearly cleared out. All that remains are the desktop Quad Plague Bearers. I have enough housings for 10 more and am in production right now, so get ‘em while the lead time is short! These are r3.2 Plague Bearers with VC gain, and also have an inverter section for the Gain CV input for “normal” CV response. USD$350.00 each + $9.50 S&H. The page has been updated as well: http://www.flightofharmony.com/Plague_Bearer.html.

Other news:
· The Infernal Noise Machine v1.3 is now available full-time - http://www.flightofharmony.com/INM.html

· Plague Bearer t-shirts are now available! http://www.flightofharmony.com/pbtshirt.html

"light of harmony newsletter July 2009

Greetings!

A bit late, oh well. I’ve been busy clearing out the order backlog and am almost finished (hooray!). Currently building the last of the Infernal Noise Machine preorders, and hope to be finished this week/early next week.

· I still have a few sets of INM PCBs remaining if anyone is interested. USD$666.00 + S&H.
Lead time 8-12 weeks, as I still have to finish the Quad Plague Bearers and get going on a few other things.

· Two group buys currently in the sign-up stage:

o Joysticks – It’s time again! This time, however, the purchase is of brand new joysticks from the manufacturer – not NOS (New Old Stock) units from a liquidator. Details can be found in the Muffwiggler forum thread.

o Jacks – I finally found them! I have been searching for 3.5mm mono NC-switched vertical PCB mount jacks with M6x0.5 threaded bushing since I started f(h), and finally found some with a panel-PCB height less than 15mm. They are only slightly larger in dimension to the ubiquitous Kobiconn 16PJ13x. I know that many others have also wanted this style and I am so stoked on finding these that I’m organizing a group buy at cost – USD$0.075 each (7.5¢). Details in the Muffwiggler forum thread. The MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) has already been met.

That’s enough for now, toodles.

flight of harmony newsletter June 2009

"Greetings!

It has been rather hectic lately, but the storm has nearly passed, so it’s time for some updates:

· Frac format Choices joystick modules are in stock at Analogue Haven. I haven’t had time to update the Choices page, but they are available. The Choices euro format is available through Analogue Haven and Schneiders Buero.

· Plague Bearer r3.2 with VC Gain is available at AH and SB in euro format.

· The Infernal Noise Machine is almost ready for production! Some sound clips taken during testing are here. PCBs will be ordered this week.
I have to pause here to thank those that purchased the first run. You all have been patient, understanding and kind way beyond what would be reasonable to expect, and I am very honored to have such exceptional clients as you. I hope you find that these are worth the wait!

· Production of the standalone Rev3.2 Quad Plague Bearer begins as soon as the I.N.M. are completed. Information on the original quad unit is available here. This run will have the fully-updated r3.2 PB circuitry, and the jack panel has been redone to accommodate the Gain CV input jacks. I found a batch of housings and was originally planning to use them for something else, but enough requests came in shortly thereafter to justify another run. There are a few housings that are not yet spoken for, so contact me if you are interested. They are USD$350 each + S&H (depends on location).

OK, back to work.

flight of harmony Infernal Noise Machine

v1.1 Limited run available - $666.00 USD each. 2 of 5 remaining
"This was built by accident, but that is a good thing. A customer said that he was interested in an INM when it was available. I was out of my medication at the time, and replace the word "INM" with "Plague Bearer". Once I woke up, work began. This is NOT a production unit, I am trying to find a more cost-effective build. The joysticks are from my jealously-hoarded secret stash, but I'm looking into distributing them - 100k, 0.2W, 90° swing, all-metal construction (apart from shaft pivot bearing)." You can find more info including final specs and samples on the flight of harmony Infernal Noise Machine page. via Deviant Synth.

flight of harmony mid-month newsletter October 2008

"There’s been so much going on that a mid-month letter sounded good:

We now have a forum! Graciously supplied by His Wiggliness, Muff Wiggler, scroll down to “Hosted Forums”. There are several discussions regarding the Plague Bearer, with users’ pictures and samples (much better than mine). You have to be registered to hear the samples, but it is worth it. There are also threads for suggestions of new modules and Barebones Packs, format discussions, and announcements of upcoming stuff.

The discounted first run of the PB-1E & PB-2E are almost gone, only a couple of each left.

There are a few hand-made Frac format PB modules left – single- and double-width. Make sure you check out the thread about them in the forum.

The Imp Eurorack module nears completion, comments are greatly appreciated (forum again).

A limited run of the Infernal Noise Machine is now for sale. Five units are available at $666.00 each. http://www.flightofharmony.com/INM.html and in the forum.

flight of harmony October newsletter

"Hello again!

First off: Plague Bearer Eurorack modules are now available, in single and dual units. Due to a minor manufacturing error, this first batch is slightly discounted.

A huge thank you to everyone who bought some PB Barebones Packs! They were much more successful than I expected. They are a permanent product line now. I plan to add barebones packs for each main product offered.

The website homepage now has an “available products” menu in the upper-right corner (I still haven’t decided on a “store” page layout, so I cheated), and has an RSS feed as well.

In development: The Infernal Noise Machine modules. Muahaha…

Thanks again to everyone,

"I’m quite busy filling the current orders, but here’s a quick update:

· After this run, the current Plague Bearer form factor will be discontinued – these housings are just too labor-intensive. There are only two v1.1 Plague Bearers remaining at the time of this writing and they are the last of this style.

· If there is enough demand, populated main boards for the Plague Bearer, Imp, and the Infernal Noise Machine will be made available. Main boards do not include PSU or I/O jacks. Email me if you are interested, I’ll have some populated board pics up soon.

Upcoming:
· Modular versions of the Plague Bearer, Parasite, and the Infernal Noise Machine.
· The standalone version of the I.N.M and the Imp will be available in a couple weeks"

flight of harmony July newsletter

"Now that the madness of developing the Parasite is over, we can tell you about some new developments and upcoming offerings.

· Some of our behind-the-scenes business deals were finalized yesterday, enabling us to receive much better volume pricing on many components and services. Now we get to pass the savings on to you as well! For starters, the price of the Parasite is now just $185.00.

· A stash of the enclosures used to build both the Parasite and the Plague Bearer has been discovered! We are happy to announce a run of twenty v1.1 Plague Bearers, at $240 each. Version 1.1 has a few changes, mostly internal – PCB layout tweaks and Power Supply changes. The patch panel will be all 3.5mm jacks as well. The Parasite v1.0 run has been extended to 50.

Upcoming:
· Modular versions of the Plague Bearer, Parasite, and the Infernal Noise Machine are in development.

· The standalone version of the I.N.M and the Imp should be available soon, with custom wood enclosures, which leads us to:

· We have expanded our crony resource list to include a custom cabinetry manufacturer, and will be offering custom wood enclosures soon.

· And a few more things to be revealed in the future…

"Pics, diagrams, specs and samples are up at flight of harmony. We hope to get as much feedback as possible and would love to hear what people really *want* in a synth/ music- related device. If we get enough suggestions for something specific, we’ll work to make it a reality."
