"Multivox MX-65, in a wonderfull playing condition and in a really good esthetical condition. All the keys are working perfectly. All the section knobs are working too. The knob of the filter section is broken but it does not have much incidence on playing. This is a little keyboard with a great potential and has a real rich sound. The feeling of the keys is pretty good, not cheap and all the keys are pretty white. Serial number is 564198.."

Its in fine cosmetic condition, visible signs of usage and time, some wear and tear scratches and keys have become yellowish. Interestingly it has KORG painted marked on the back side.

"Very Rare Multivox MX-65 Polyphonic Synthesizer. It is an analog poly keyboard that was made in Japan from 1977 to 1980. It has six voices. Piano, strings, clavichord, honky-tonk, piano and organ. The voices them selves are just different combinations of the filter and envelope positions that you can switch between. The filter is interfaced with the envelope with 3 modes. A fast attack/fast decay mode, an ‘expand’ mode with resonance emphasis, and a fast attack/slow decay mode. The chassis has wear as in the photos, keys are bit yellow. Plays and sounds great. Pitch up does not work. Flat plays fine and down plays fine. Toggle works."

"Made in Japan from 1977 to 1980 forthe American market. Very rare.

The Multivox MX-65is six voice polyphonic keyboard.
Six voices: piano, strings, clavichord, honkytonk, string, and organ.
Weight: 16 pounds. Width: 29 in. Depth: 10 in. Height: 4 in.

Using the endless combinations ofthe MX-65's modifiers for Volume, Pitch, Filters, Envelope Generator (3 shapes),LFO (vibrato effects) and Ensemble (3 modes) you have unlimited sound possibilities.
The sound is a warm analog sound, but for me, too unconventional and bizarre."

"Up for auction is a Multivox MX-65 Polyphonic Synthesizer. It is an analog poly keyboard that was made in Japan from 1977 to 1980. Very very rare.

The MX powers on and off from the volume knob. A red LED indicates its status. It powers up and tunes perfectly from start up. There is a tuning pot on the left hand side to control the master tuning.

The front panel is not deep, but it definitely gives you some control over the MX-65's presets.
There are envelope shape controls, an LFO (delay, depth, speed), and 3 Ensemble/Chorus modes.

On the rear panel there is has Gate Out and VCF control in. The Gate Out has positive and negative polarity outputs. The VCF control in is a control voltage input or pedal control. As a cv input it is 1.3 v/octave. Very unique feature set.

This synth can be very lush, especially with a touch of fx. I have made a quick demo, with some of reverb and delay from Ableton. The string and piano sections are my favorite. [posted here]

Here is another informative demo:"
