And now for something a little different on the site in via supporting member, Saul Stokes. Close-up of the gear he's playing at the end.

"This week, we made our way over to the Freight @ Salvage in Berkeley, California, to test out our latest track, Dreamer. Dreamer will be out later this Spring on a new EP we're finishing up. The Freight & Salvage has an amazing sound system, but I was dealing with very low stage monitors, which wildly makes you feel like no one can hear you. You have to trust the sound engineer, and it can pull you out of the zone. Syd, on the other hand, easily commanded the song with simple vocal perfection. This piece is an extraction of music built from my Frequensea Episode 7 composition. Dreamer reminds me of a lot of classic electronic music. Perhaps an amalgam of early OMD and Massive Attack. The first lyrical line pays homage to This Mortal Coil's 'Morning Glory.' Look us up on Instagram to see where we'll be next.

"Using various combinations of synthesizers, analog circuits, and specific melodies, Stokes conjures a visit with some beautiful Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. UAPs are observations of events in the sky that cannot be identified as aircraft or known technology.

"Frequensea Episode 6: Rain Maker

Creativity is an exciting feeling. It can pop into the mind at unexpected times for many of us. If we don’t choose to react to it, the idea or concept can slip away, much like how dreams can feel clear and sharp only to become blurred nothingness after a few minutes.

Recently, it’s been raining quite a bit in the Bay Area. The calming effect of pattering rain sounds so pleasant and intriguing that a creative spark popped in my head. The spark said, what if you built a long-form piece of electronic music around the patterning sounds of rain? At this moment, you either jump in or let the thought die.

This episode is slightly different from previous episodes in that I opted to perform it when it felt right rather than sit and wait for a live show date. Additionally, I set aside the intermission research that I’ve done on past episodes. For those who are interested in electronic equipment, I focus a bit on the Korg Kaosspadd NTS-3, which is just a fantastic open-source effect unit.

This is a slow-burn episode. It starts almost in drone territory and, at moments, dives into a bit of Blade Runner. Then, it arcs off into minimal beat scapes and ends with a dreamy soundtrack finale.

This is a DAW free, live mix down performance. Visuals were created using Touchdesigner."

A final boss in a video game is the ultimate opponent encountered at the end of the game. It represents the peak challenge, typically possessing unique abilities and serving as the climax of the player's journey. Defeating the final boss signifies the successful completion of the game's storyline, testing the player's mastery and providing a sense of accomplishment."
