"My first synth track using the Korg Arp Odyssey! The MIDI sequencer is the Modstep for iPad, playing with a USB MIDI interface and sending MIDI messages to an 8-channel MIDI router (EMW). Recorded with Audioshare for iPhone.

"Synth Jams I is a compilation of tracks recorded live using analog and digital synthesizers and drum machines. The songs were created from improvisations with different instruments and were captured practically the moment after their creation.

With influences from the songs and timbres of classic and new artists like Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Erik Norlander and Kebu, besides several works of electronic/instrumental music, the tracks of the album do not have a common style, but they share a main element: the sounds created with synthesizers.

In this process, the idea was to interact with the instruments, create and manipulate sounds in real time. It was also part of the plan to leave the computer and music production software out of this process. Therefore, anything that could not be played simultaneously live was performed by a MIDI sequencer (Roland MC808).

All tracks were recorded with iPhone using the Guitar Jack 2 Audio Interface and the AudioShare app. I connected the mixer outputs to an audio interface connected to the iPhone and made the recordings."
