"Yamaha AN1X (my version i have modified) this is a vintage synthesizer that never ceases to amaze me with its capabilities over the years. It produces millions of unique sounds that you can dream, fall asleep to, imagine a fantasy world and just enjoy what this unique synthesizer of the late 90s can generate. Its minor flaws do not bother me in order to love this synthesizer, which the modern manufacturer Yamaha still cannot repeat. ;-)

Its sound is pure as a baby's tear, unlike the sound of the Virus TI synthesizer, for example. In what order would I sell the VA synths? Clavia would be the first to sell everything. Many Korg from this category VA would also put up for sale. Roland JP80xx got tired after 5 days. Wouldn't leave a single Waldorf! Novation Supernova 2 would also sell without regret. Without Virus TI, my life would not be boring. Alesis ION would not have stayed with me. And only AN1x I would sell the very last turn.

What is the uniqueness of AN1x? If you understand how the music of the 90s differed from our days, how vinyl differs from CD, then you will understand that AN1X is also unique."

"For the good old AN1X synthesizer, I am ready to say a lot of thanks to the creators of that time, even if it is not perfect in everything.
For all the modern developments of Yamaha over the past 15 years, I would not say a single thank you and would drive all the creators (sorry not a creators! I am must be more precisely, fu...ing marketers) with a broom from the yard. The Yamaha Montage advertised by the "stars" should not have appeared at all in the form in which we received it."

"Absolutely all sounds are taken from Yamaha An1x.

I used: FL Studio DAW & Steinberg Cubase 11.0.41 Pro for MIDI.
On several channels I have used Side Chain Effect.
On one channel I used VPS Glitch Bitch VST.
I have not used a compressor on any of the channels.
Only on the master channel I used the limiter.


An1x can synthesize any sounds, including drums. It sounds very diverse, I use it constantly and more often than all other VA Synthesizer. All his sounds fit very well into the mix without any additional processing. It has genius leads, pads and all kinds of sounds from other categories. Despite its age, it makes me happy every day and every day I can extract absolutely any new sounds from it. In this track I used all of my presets from my set JS-Sound - FX Dream Bank3."

I had it and I also made a personal opinion about it, a useless, over-praised synthesizer on the net, which supposedly sounded in many tracks of my years. Yes, I went through all this, but unfortunately there are not so many advertisements on the network about АN1X. Roland loved to do advertising for himself and his brand for life. In addition, all sorts of provocateurs and agitators help to glorify Roland 'empty space'. In my eyes, JPxxxx, like Waldorf Kira and Blofeld, are the worst synthesizers I have ever had.

But as I said, people have different tastes and opinions, this synthesizer is a legend for me, I like everything about it, it suits me all, I see no reason not to share the sound of this synthesizer with people."

Yamaha An1x sound is unique, I love its sound and I will never sell my An1x! For its time in 1997, it is the best VA synthesizer.

There are no components or blocks inside the case like a power supply that can dry out the electrolytic capacitors. Nowadays it can be bought and all components such as knobs are in stock! In my synthesizer, I changed all the knobs, the condensers have been in perfect condition for 22 years, it works flawlessly, it has an excellent ribbon controller with X and Z function, there is an aftertouch, convenient control, a large fan factor, super sound and incomparable , it has a warm sound, it can sound partly like an analogue, it can be a spaceship, that's my opinion, but it's true about an AN1X synthesizer!

The Yamaha AN1X is the best of the best VA synthesizers of its time, but even today it is still relevant. JS-Sound"
