New Synthesizers.com Q170 MIDI Gates

And a silver Q106A Oscillator.

via Synthesizers.com

"The Q170 MIDI Gates module produces gate signals from a stream of MIDI messages, either from a keyboard, a DAW or any MIDI source. Each of the 8 outputs can be programmed for one or more MIDI note messages or Continuous Controller messages.

Gate outputs can be used to select steps on a Q960 sequencer, trigger envelopes, change filter settings and many other things.

A MIDI Thru output allows daisy-chaining of many modules.

The MIDI output is a version of the incoming MIDI signals but with the programmed notes filtered out. This allows you to set aside certain notes on a keyboard for controlling things via an independent gate signal.

To program an output, simply press the Set button and send MIDI note or CC messages. MIDI channel numbers are recognized. Notes sent once cause the output to follow the note on/off messages and operate like a simple keyboard gate signal. Notes sent twice cause the output to toggle On then Off as note On messages are received.

A special mode allows gate outputs to be programmed to respond to MIDI real-time messages, sometimes called sync - start, stop, continue, clock. The clock output can be programmed with a division of /1,/2,/3,/4,/6,/8,/12,/16,/24,/32."

New Synthesizers.com Q157 SH++ 5U Module

Q157 SH++ Tour Published on Nov 27, 2017 synthesizersdotcom

"For more information visit http://www.synthesizers.com/

Hosted by Roger Arrick of Synthesizers.com"

"The Q157 SH++ is a Sample and Hold surrounded by accessory functions on a single-wide panel. There are 5 sections including an LFO with square and sine wave outputs, a frequency/gate divider, noise source with low-pass filtering, and a slew limiter with automatic looping. The slew limiter section also produces a decay envelope generator.

Several sections are connected together in a musically-useful way to create interesting modulation of oscillators and filters with minimal patching.

The LFO provides square wave and sine wave outputs simultaneously with an LED indicating speed. The LFO can be used to provide vibrato to oscillators, clocks to sequencers, or gates for the Sample and Hold section.

The Divider section automatically receives its input from the LFO's square wave unless a plug is inserted into its IN jack. Dividing gates can be useful for sequencer patches, arpeggiations, even sub-octave waveform generation.

The Sample and Hold section receives its gate from the LFO unless a plug is inserted into its GATE jack. The sample and hold input is automatically connected to the noise section if there is no plug in the IN jack.

The Noise section provides a white noise filtered by a 2-pole low-pass filter. The knob can also be jumpered as a volume control if desired.

The Decay/Slew section provides portamento for keyboard pitch, slew for the sample and hold output, creates envelopes from gates, or delays gate signals. Without a plug inserted into the IN jack, the slew mode automatically retriggers to create a trapezodial LFO waveform. In decay mode, a gate produces a decaying envelope to drive percussive patches."

New Synthesizers.com Q114 Mixer ++

Published on Oct 11, 2017 synthesizersdotcom

"Hosted by Roger Arrick of Synthesizers.com"

via Synthesizers.com

"The Q114 Mixer++ is a 4-channel mixer, a dual 2-channel mixer, and a signal distributor in a single-wide MU format module. The Q114 also provides many processing functions including signal inverting, amplifying and offsetting.
The unique design connects channels together until you insert a plug. This allows various combinations of mixing, distributing and processing simultaneously.

Each channel's knob attenuates its input from 0% to 100%, and the toggle switch sets an optional function. Use X1 for normal mixing.

Several Q114 Mixer++ modules can be daisy-chained together for 8, 12 or more channels.

The rules of operation are simple and powerful:

Input and output jacks are switching jacks. Inserting a plug breaks the connection to the next channel. This allows an amazing variety of mixing and processing possibilities in a small space.

INPUTS
Without a plug inserted into an input, that channel receives its signal from the input above it. When a plug is inserted into an input, that channel receives its signal from the plug. The first input is 5 volts without a plug inserted.

OUTPUTS
Without a plug inserted into an output, that output is mixed into the next channel below it. When a plug is inserted into an output, the processing of that channel is sent out, and the signal is not mixed into the next channel, the chain is broken.

"The Q148 VCA++ combines a normal VCA, a left-right panner, a clipping monitor, a tuner, and a headphone amplifier all in a single-space module. The Q148 VCA++ makes a great final output module for studio or live work.

The VCA section operates like the Q108 VCA with both manual and voltage control. When patching in a control voltage, the VCA knob becomes an attenuator for the control voltage and essentially becomes your volume control.

The panning section gives you manual or voltage control of where the sound goes - left and/or right. Patch in an LFO to bounce the sound back and forth, or use an envelope to move the sound from one side to another for each note.

The tuning section provides an A (440hz) or C (523hz) standard for setting oscillators. It's super convenient and you might even find creative uses for it within your playing. The center position is off.

An LED indicates when the signal is getting close to the natural clipping level of the internal circuits to prevent distortion and help you set proper levels for the best signal-to-noise ratio.

The Q148 has a built-in stereo headphone amplifier with a volume control. As with any headphone amplifier, always start at the zero setting and slowly increase the volume to a safe level.

"The Q107A Filter is a single-wide version of our popular Q107 Filter. Both filters use the same circuitry, and they sound and operate identically. See the Q107 page for details about this filter.

Convert an existing Q107 double-wide filter to a Q107A single-wide filter with our conversion kit.

The Q107A lacks the Notch output and the input mixer attenuator. The Q162 Filter Mixer is compatible with the Q107A."

New Synthesizers.com Q179 Envelope++

via synthesizers.com

"The Q179 Envelope++ module is a full-featured voltage-controlled envelope generator with many unique features including bizarre curves, a VCA and looping. Special modes offer dual-envelopes and 4-step sequencing. The Q179 can also be used as an LFO, gate divider, gate delay, arpeggiator, quantizer, random source, and more.

The envelope mode provides voltage-control of Attack, Decay, Release phases along with amplitude. Special features include control of initial Delay and Attack peak holding, along with linear, exponential and log curves.

Voltage control of slopes and amplitude is designed specifically to make using velocity signals from a keyboard intuitive and musically expressive. Press a key fast to produce a faster attack and higher amplitude. Use off-velocity from the Q174 MIDI Interface to control the release time according to how fast you release a key. The Q179 Envelope++ is made for musicians and their music.

Positive and inverted outputs makes it easy to send the output to a VCA and VCF without using a multiple and the THRU makes daisy-chaining simple. A multi-colored LED provides indication of the current state.
Envelope looping occurs automatically when a gate plug is not inserted, or controlled by a gate in GL mode (Gated Looping). When looping, outputs can be used as a multi-segment LFO with VC of speed, slopes and amplitude, and a variable pulse-width is available at the THRU output.

The dual-envelope mode creates an attack/sustain/decay envelope at the +OUTPUT and a separate delay/attack/hold/decay envelope at the -OUTPUT. These envelopes can loop automatically or by gate control. The THRU output operates as a voltage-controlled gate delay and gate extender.

The Q179 Envelope++ also offers a 4-step sequencer mode, complete with an internal clock and quantized outputs. Forward, up/down and random sequences are available. Works great as a keyboard arpeggiator, or stack multiple modules for longer sequences.

$256.00 USD - PJ Wrote: A fancy EG and dual EGs and a sequencer in one package? With a quantizer and gate delay too? Ummm, I'll take 4!"
