Digisound Modular

via this auction
"The modules are (L to R):-
1) Quad LFO - 4 Low Frequency Ocillators with manual pitch adjustment and various waveform settings.
2) Processor - my first module as it can invert, attenuate & produce multiple outputs from 1 input signal, used a lot in its heyday!
3) VC Mixer - a 4/2 mixer (the plan was eventually for it to mix to stereo) which very useful for control voltages & audio. I used it with the LFOs to make weird CVs!
4) VCO - An excellent audio oscillator, lots CVs/knobs! All waveforms outputs can be used at once as well. I sampled the raw waveforms to then have a fiddle with.....

livewire audio frequency generator

via this auction
"outside, the afg presents the user with extensive panel controls for maximum flexibility and usability… inside, the pure analogue circuitry adheres to a strict design philosophy rooted in mid-1970s technology and construction techniques.

features:
8 simultaneous waveform outputs
a total of 27 distinct waveforms are possible
sub-octave with switchable square or sawtooth waveforms
unique animated pulse & alien saw waveforms
programmable ‘natural’ or ‘laboratory’ sine wave modes
alternate waveform set is activated on all outputs simultaneously with matter/anti-matter switch
select between 2 different anti-matter waveform sets via pcb jumper
9 cv inputs, each with dedicated attenuators, with the exception of the two 1v/oct inputs
2 fm inputs, both switchable between linear & exponential
dedicated sync in/out

harmonic animation
the harmonic animation section of the afg controls the harmonic content of the animated pulses & alien saws waveforms.

the animated pulses waveform is synthesized by four control parameters, each having a manual adjustment knob and cv input with dedicated attenuator:
positive pulse width modulation (+pwm) – controls the width of the two pulses on the top (or positive) side of the waveform
negative pulse width modulation (-pwm) – controls the width of the two pulses on the bottom (or negative) side of the waveform
positive phase position modulation (+ppm) – controls the relative phase position of the two positive pulses (in relation to each other)
negative phase position modulation (-ppm) – controls the relative phase position of the two negative pulses (in relation to each other)

the alien saws output is a bizarre, multi-toothed saw waveform that is derived from the animated pulses waveform. it’s harmonic content is also synthesized by the four control parameters of the harmonic animation section, but in different and more enigmatic ways.

expandability
the livewire audio frequency generator is designed with expandability in mind. there are currently 3 new modules in the works, which are intended to further expand upon the afg’s sound shaping capabilities:
x-mod controller - provides 4 channels of fully routable cross-modulation between 2 afgs… 2 channels in each direction. each channel features manually or voltage controlled modulation depth.
audio compositor - enables the user to coalesce harmonics from all 8 of the afg’s output waveforms into a single mono or 2 stereo outputs. eight channels of bi-polar, voltage controlled mixing determine amplitude & panning of each waveform in the stereo outputs or amplitude & phase inversion in the mono output.
flux capacitor - allows the user to select between alternate universes accessed through the inter-dimensional portal that is activated by the matter/anti-matter switch.

universe a is strange. universe b is even stranger. but we find that universe c is completely malleable. fortunately, the flux capacitor has been designed to provide panel-mounted manual and voltage controls over the fluid physics of this anomalous and pliable dimension."

elby designs ed109 tgtsh

via this auction

"the ed109-tgtsh is a module that combines two important synthesizer functions.

it produces trigger and gate signals whenever a "timing" signal input crosses a user-defined threshold. at the same time, the trigger pulse fires a high-performance sample-and-hold circuit that samples a second "main" signal input.

this module has a maximum current draw of 5ma. it requires 10 hp/te worth of space to fit in a eurorack frame."

cwejman vc forward compressor

via this auction

"The VC-FC is a unique forward compressor in the sense that all compressor parameters can be voltage controlled from the external modulation sources by CV inputs. It gives a lot of possibilities for an instant change of compressors character by CV signals from analogue sequencers or other CV generating devices. The external devices, such as filters can be also inserted in to the Side Chain of the compressor for frequency dependend gain reduction.

MODE/ variable threshold
The threshold from which incoming signal is compressed is variable in the range from -15 to +15 dB.

MODE/ constant threshold
The gain of the compressor is variable in the range of +24 to -6 dB with a fixed output level at +6 dB at maximal ratio.

KNEE
Knee can be set for a sharp or soft character of gain reduction ((imitates the vintage opto compressors gain reduction) by manual selector or by CV signal with two states; 0 for sharp knee and +2 Volts to 10 Volts for soft knee.

RATIO
The compression angle is variable (by knob) or by CV signal from OF (no compression) to limiting (almost infinite compression)

ATTACK and RELEASE
Attack and release time are controllable by knobs or by CV signals in a wide range for all possible musical applications. The Attack Time; from 200usec's to 250 msec's and The Release Time; from 20msec's to 8 sec's.

MAKEUP GAIN
The Makeup Gain is controlled by knob or by CV signal in the range from -15 dB to +15 dB"

Verbos 258v dual oscillator (buchla format)

via this auction

"
This is apparently one of the early 258v's that Mark Verbos made. There are two flaws with these early models.

- The screen printing is slightly off, so the lines don't line up with adjacent modules as can be seen in the photo. Not really a problem except for those who are OCD about such things.

- Additionally, it's a very tight squeeze on some cases due to the screw holes being a tiny bit off. It fitted in my 201-4 rack without any problems, but in my 24 space system, I couldn't line up the top holes (as can also be seen in the photograph). This may or may not affect other peoples systems, as there seems to be some very slight variation between spacing, and tolerances.
Worst case, you can use it like I have the last year by just screwing it in with 2 screws, and holding it down when removing jacks.

Other than this, it works just fine, and sounds fantastic. It's amazing for deep boomy bass noises, and the FM sounds that come from it are crazy.
I'm only selling it because I have several similar oscillators in my eurorack system, which I turn to for this kind of sound.
I'd love to keep it, but 200e boat space is at a premium :-)"

Livewire Dalek Modulator

via this auction

"the first module in the alien modulator series, the dalek modulator contains 2 linear cross-modulating vcos and a ring modulator in one module.

the ring modulator's carrier and modulator inputs are normalized to the internal vcos, but either or both can be replaced with any external signal. vcos feature internal cross-modulation, horizontal symmetry control, sine and square wave outputs and can be used independently of the ring modulator.

specifications:
inputs: cv modulation of frequency with attenuation, carrier signal input, modulator signal input.

outputs: carrier vco output, modulator vco output, ring modulated signal output.

controls: carrier & modulator vco controls for frequency, horizontal symmetry, hi/lo speed selection, waveform selection and cv modulation attenuation. each external input has selectors for ac/dc coupling. modulation can obey or destroy"

VTECH MUSIC MAJOR

via this auction

"This super cool electronic piano was designed to teach children music. It has 23 keys, 6 different keyboard patterns, 10 sound affects, 5 learning exercises, 12 different rhythms, and a tempo control . When you press a key, a corresponding red light appears representing the note on the music tablature screen.

Sounds:
This electronic piano TALKS!! Much like a speak and spell, the machine will ask you to perform tasks. When you first turn it on it asks, "Please choose an activity." Some tasks it will say "NO, try again." or "YES, you are right."

There are 7 different overall sounds the piano can perform as, piano, organ, flute, cello, trumpet, and voice.

Along with the regular piano keys, there are 10 sound effects keys. You can make a sound like a dog, fish, cow, goat, bird, and various percussion sounds.

But the COOLEST SOUND this piano makes is the voice function. If you press the little red button that looks like a face, the piano will function as the scales. Press a key and the piano will say, in a human-like voice, "Do, Re, Me, etc..."

The piano also has 12 different rhythm you can choose, including Bassanova, Disco, Rock 'n Roll, and others. There is also a tempo button that fluxuates the speed from pretty mellow to normal to super fast, nearly machine gun fire quality.

The demo function is cool. You can choose a song and the piano will automatically play the song and the corresponding notes lighting up on the screen.

Mechanics:
Manufactured by in the year 1986 buy the company Video Technology Educational Electronics or VTECH.

Takes 6 C batteries. there is no corrossion in the battery compartment. It also takes an 9V 500MA electronic adaptor.

Apparently, this machine holds some memory capacity; there is a record function...

If you're into circuit bending, the keyboard seems somewhat easy to get into."
