ELECTRONIC MUSIC WORKS EMW WCS-1 SYNTHESIZER
via this auction
"The Electronic Music Works WCS-1 is a MIDI synthesizer module that utilizes a digital oscillator followed by all discrete analog circuits to produce unusual and heavy sounds. The exclusive wave addition resource together with a dual input powerful VCF and a lightning fast VCA ensures its powerful sound generation capabilities, being an ideal tool for electronic music production.
WCS-1 is a hibrid monophonic synthesizer that uses a digital oscillator to create the waveforms and all analog discrete circuits for the VCF, ADSR, VCA and LFO.
Its MIDI implementation allows it to be adjusted to receive signals between channels 1 through 15. Keynotes action follows the Last Note Priority system and it also has a buffer for the last 5 pressed notes.
The VCF allows the oscillator’s waves to be directed to two independent BPF (Band Pass Filter) or LPF (Low Pass Filter), resulting in a wider timbral range.
One LFO with two waveshapes can be used to modulate the cut frequency or VCF’s CUT OFF.
WCS-1's VCA uses high speed circuits to produce very fast and high impact attack time."

EML Electrocomp 101 Modular Analog Synthesizer
via this auction
"EML Electrocomp 101 Analog Modular Synthesizer. Circa 1970's. Great condition, with the usual outer case dings and missing handle. Rare synth that makes some amazing sounds... some Moog like, some beyond. Used by Pere Ubu and others, Google for some history. Everything seems to work fine, and there are some additional factory upgrade mods that are uncommon, such as the pitch wheels on keyboard and the XLR interface."
