"This auction is for an exceptionally rare Syntrack analogue synth module, made by the swiss company Spectral Audio. As far as i'm aware only 200 of these were initially made around 1998, and then they were available for a short while as custom built units to order, but there can't be that many in the world.

The Syntrack is a rackmounted analogue synth module with full midi control over the knobs and parameters. All the knobs respond to, and transmit midi data, so any knob movements can be recorded and automated on playback. It has a single wavetable DCO with a 100% analogue filter and VCA. Theres also an external audio input round the back so you can send any signal through the filter and savage VCA distortion.

This unit sounds like nothing else you've heard. Not only is it home to some massive dirty analogue bass sounds and leads, but it also does an excellent line in digital chiptune style sounds. Imagine an 8 bit computer or gameboy running through a meaty analogue filter and distortion. To quote sound on sound magazine: 'The Syntrack's upper register exalts in its cheesy, '60s, battery-powered organ sounds, and for me this is nothing to be ashamed of.'

The echometer is a midi sequencer / looper where you can record and playback midi notes and/or controller values from three independent tracks over up to four bars length in realtime or quantized if you want. Over implemented buttons, external Midi-pads or keys you can just record the timing of the events up to Midi. You can also trigger them analogwise over the gate input switch per track. The echometer is mainly designed to create, play and edit drums and percussion beats on the fly. Still you can edit basslines or melodies to be given out in addition or as it. Over up to six voltage control outputs for 0 to 5 volts you can also control and manage analogue components such as filters, analogue synthesizers or such stuff in a modular system.
