Low-Gain Electronics Submix Sub Mix Mixer Module

"The SubMix is an improved concept over the original SubMix7. I wanted more room to play around with the mixer in live situations. It now has 12 active inputs, with linear attenuators, allowing the user to have up to 7 different mix outputs. There are four dedicated mix outputs labeled A, B, C, D. There are also 3 dedicated submix outputs labeled AB, CD, and ABCD.

The SubMix was re-designed with the intention of sub-mixing the waveform outputs from VCO’s. I’ve found by using passive mixers I’d hear drop outs or “nulling” of signal which sounds similar to signals being out of phase with each other. So passive mixers basically turned into waveform “on/off” switches for me. This effect was due to the different loads being created on passive input nodes (typically caused by the attenuator varying the load). With active inputs (unity gain buffers) the load on the summing bus stays constant and you get a much better and smooth mix regardless of the load on the input.

The SubMix is CV and Audio friendly, keeping in mind you will have offset/clipping if you use submix outputs of mixers that are mixing AC AND DC signals.

You can also take advantage of the submix outputs and play around with feedback loops!

"The UTL-1 is a passive bi-directional Banana Jack 1/8″ (3.5mm) and Banana Jack format jumbler. Perfect for converting your Serge and other 4U racks across to Eurorack and vice versa.

The UTL-1 comes in handy when interfacing different modular systems together. Just connect the ground jack (black jack located on the side of of the UTL) to your banana modular systems power supply ground jack and you’re ready to go!"

"Offered for sale is this rare German Wersi Bass Synth in very good cosmetic condition and excellent working order.

It was serviced and calibrated about a year ago, and is in perfect working order aside from the attack pot for the bassguitar, which has no effect. Fortunately, the bassguitar voice sounds brilliant as is - just the right amount of bite - quite convincing.

This fine little monophonic synth is a testament to German design and attention to detail - it's very expressive, sounds wonderful and plays beautifully. There are plenty of modulation and expression options and it's very easy to conjure up a wide range of warm rich analogue synth sounds.

It's in very good condition for its age - see photos below for details - there are minor scuffs and scratches to the finish (see photos below) and some joints of the wooden case have been repaired. Overall a good example of this rare and fabulous-sounding synth and a chance to stand out from the crowd.

Aside from the Bassguitar Attack pot, there are no known operational faults with this unit.
(Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used - even during a short delivery period - this can usually be easily rectified either by use or with a bit of switch-cleaning spray)..."

"It has just been serviced, calibrated and PAT-tested by James Walker at Synth Repair Services.
The keyboard contacts, pots and switches have been cleaned and the power supply recapped.

Dating from 1973, this instrument is in excellent original condition - it has the early oscillator and filter boards and sounds/plays every bit as good as it looks. Please see pictures below (more to follow).

The wooden case has been lovingly-restored and lightly polished with wax - it has not been stripped, sanded or revarnished as this would spoil the vintage patina, so there are marks, scuffs and dings as you'd expect from a 40 year-old instrument. The face and knobs are original.

There are no known operational faults with this unit..."

"A very unique and interesting unit made in Japan around mid / end 70ies.
It has two independent drum synth channels and sounds pretty good for it’s size.
It can be triggered via gate or audio signals at the back of the unit."

BETA Version ORGON SYSTEMS ENIGISER ANALOGUE SYNTHESIZER

"Very good condition a few minor scratches and marks, good for its age. Everything works perfectly and is fully tuned and calibrated. The serial number is'1996-beta-5-' (this means its a rarer beta version). This machine has a few features the normal ENIGISER'S do not. The sine wave symetry is able to be modulated via the "pulse/saw shape" controls, this also modulates the "subass".. this sounds really nice!!. This enigiser has extra filter modes, more high pass, bandpass, notch and phasing responses, these like the sine mod are not marked on the front panel, everything else is like a normal enigiser. The filter and VCA have drive controls to allow you to overdrive them, this can sound quite "moogy". The enigiser was reviewed by sound on sound, future music and the mix in 1997 check these out as they give a good description of the enigiser. The enigiser has a really unique sound, 'BIG AND IN YOUR FACE' nothing else sound like it!...... 'analogue on steroids'....."
