Mellotron Beer Review Hop Butcher For The World

video upload by Rat’s Beer Review

This one was spotted and sent my way via John L Rice who had the following to say about it:

"It’s a video from a guy who does reviews of beer. The one he reviewed happens to be called “Mellotron” but the image art on the can seems to be a caricature of Keith Emerson’s Moog modular from the mid 70‘s?! 😄 It really cool art and I wouldn’t mind having a t-shirt or poster of that! I looked around and the beer only seems available in South Carolina?"

Sign me up for a T as well.

See the Synth Beer label below for additional posts featuring synths and beer.

Behringer Introduces the RD-808 on 808 Day and Some Beer

Published on Aug 8, 2018

"A member of our development team in Manchester jams on a first revision of the RD-808 to celebrate 808 day.

Raw unprocessed audio captured at 44.1kHz"

I wonder if the final version will be squishy. Note the "see you 9/9" at the end. Looks like an RD-909 TR-909 clone is coming.

So.. Why not the BR-808? That would be beer form The Origin Workshop!

1973 MOOG MUSIC MINIMOOG MODEL D SN 2912

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction - pics of the inside below. Little beer cans in there.

"It has just been serviced, calibrated and PAT-tested by James Walker at Synth Repair Services.
The keyboard contacts, pots and switches have been cleaned and the power supply recapped.

Dating from 1973, this instrument is in excellent original condition - it has the early oscillator and filter boards and sounds/plays every bit as good as it looks. Please see pictures below (more to follow).

The wooden case has been lovingly-restored and lightly polished with wax - it has not been stripped, sanded or revarnished as this would spoil the vintage patina, so there are marks, scuffs and dings as you'd expect from a 40 year-old instrument. The face and knobs are original.

There are no known operational faults with this unit..."
