"14-bit Roland Jupiter 8 synthesizer built in May 1982 per serial number. Power is North America 117v. Condition is Excellent +++. I'm not someone who throws MINT around loosely. MINT implies that the instrument looks like it was just removed from the box. This might be the cleanest example on the market in quite a few years. Please examine the 22 high resolution photographs.
I have highlighted any imperfections in the pictures. They are small and require specific lighting to illustrate, therefor they're difficult to photograph.
This Jupiter 8 is functioning perfectly and scales across the keybed as it should. The power supply has been recapped to prevent leakage. Overall this instrument sounds bombastic and euphoric. There is nothing like being in the room with an authentic Jupiter 8.
Encore MIDI is cleanly installed and doesn't disrupt the rear panel. It adds 64 additional memory slots, and also allows for SysEx dumps to backup patches as well as MIDI control of the instrument as expected."
"This is as good as a Jupiter 8 can get: it's been lightly used but spent much of its life in a case. Factory fresh shine on the orange paintwork, display cover etc. Sympathetically overhauled for flawless operation with Encore Midi. New buttons/felts (because the current owner wanted it as close to perfection as possible. Comes with flightcase (new in 2022) and original manual/brochures etc (English).
In astonishing condition with minimal wear to the face - it's not factory perfect but as close to mint as it's possible for a synth that's been carefully used can be. Light wear near some controls and keys are the only signs of use. Factory fresh glossy shine on the orange paintwork and stunningly clear display. The end cheeks have only minor scuffs and scratches. Exceptional in every way.
This is a rare opportunity. How often do you see a Roland Jupiter 8 for sale in stunning near mint condition with factory fresh shine to the paintwork? There can be very few (if any) others as good as this left out there.
Serviced with Encore Midi - full overhaul/refurb performed by James Walker for the current owner."

"Roland Jupiter 8 in good condition. The face of the unit has a few marks as well as 1 hole plug and another hole plug on the right end cheek. The unit otherwise is in pretty great shape and his been restored comprehensively inside. It features Encore midi, the best midi available for the Jupiter 8 in our opinion."

"Here's a super clean 8 voice OB-Xa which was recently completely restored by the fantastic Synth Tailor Electronics in Ohio. This one has Encore MIDI and sounds amazing, as you would expect from an OB-Xa."
"This listing is for a vintage Roland Jupiter 8 analog synthesizer. Rare 14-bit version, also referred to as the "JP-8A". It was serviced a few years ago, and fitted with Encore MIDI on the rear panel. This synth performs great and sounds incredible - ready for your next recording project."
"Great working condition, all eight voices work, all knobs, keyboard, outputs , levers, stereo panning etc. Note that as all vintage OB's synths, sometimes when you turn it on you might have one or two voices not passing autotune - this happens to most of them, and as you keep it turned on and it warms up, then, hit autotune again then they go away and you have all eight voices functioning properly. Good cosmetic condition as well (original owner painted the top and sides black, the rest is stock). Has Encore MIDI interface mounted on, which is also tested and working. Also comes with professional heavy-duty hard case."
"rare oberheim obx. 8 factory voices. restored with original components and calibrated, it works like a Swiss watch. encore midi edit with many functions and 120 memories. the synthesizer looks perfect always kept in a maniacal way."
"This one is in excellent cosmetic condition and working 100%. It has just been professionally serviced and with quite a bit of restoration. As the title says, it has Encore Midi plus the new Techsmechs TM-8 Keyboard. This keyboard is a huge improvement compared to the original. Please check the Encore Electronics website for the midi specifications."
"Fully refurbished Oberheim OB-XA synth from 1982, expanded with Encore MIDI kit and original printed manuals. All electronics service repairs and parts replacement was done in between Aug 2019 - May 2021 by professional tech shop."
"A real time recording of the Moog Subharmonicon, EH Canyon Looper, Empress Reverb, Encore Frequency Shifter, a custom RADIO module for the 5U large format modular, Dove Audio WTF VCO, synthesizers.com Q150 filter and Echo Fix EF-X2 tape delay. The radio module is voltage controlled by a Q119 step sequencer from synthesizers.com. It is run into the frequency shifter and a mix of several noise and stored random voltages from the Sputnik West Coast Random Source (a Buchla Source of Uncertainty clone) is modulating the frequency center. This is then run to an STG Post Lawsuit Low Pass Filter and on to an Oakley Audio state variable filter in band pass resonant mode. I am playing the center frequency of this filter and sending the signal on to the Echo Fix tape delay. The delay is voltage controlled from a Mega Ohm Audio LFO2 module from the 5U modular with a very slow rising ramp wave. As the voltage drops off the tape delay motor sweeps back down with a wonderful gliding effect. The Subharmonicon is clocked from another Mega Ohm Audio LFO2. The output of Sequencer 2 is sent to a Dove Audio Window Transform Function VCO and gated to a Q109 Envelope Generator as well as run through the Q150 Transistor Ladder filter by synthesizers.com. A separate instance of the Subharmonicon was previously recorded to the Electro Harmonix Canyon pedal looper. It is faded up at the last portion to add momentum to the piece. The Empress Reverb pedal is adding some nice modulated reverb to the SubH and Canyon. What I really enjoyed was the glorious runaway feedback of the tape echo. It was fun to balance out the moving swells at the same time as playing the sub oscillators on the SubH and Oakley filter. As I moved about the antenna of the radio varied in how strong the signal picked up the AM radio stations. This lended another modulation and random aspect to the waveforms injected into the piece. A fun exercise."
"A live performance with the 5U large format modular synthesizer.
Starting with an Encore Electronics frequency shifter and Yusynth Arp 4072 filter. Modulations to the frequency shifter from a Sputnik WCRS, and an Ian Fritz DDVCO in harmonic sequence mode.
The bass sequence is driven by the STG Soundlabs suite with two VMS and one TMS, a pair of EG's, a Switch module and the Time Divider. Clock timing from Cubase via dinsync to the Time Buffer. Four synthesizers.com Q106's into a Q150 transistor ladder filter and an Oakley SVF.
The melodic sequence is a pair of Q960 sequencers to a pair of Q106's through an STG Sea Devils filter and Q107 SVF.
The percussive tick sound is a Sputnik voltage controlled slope.
Delays and reverbs include Behringer DD400's, Empress reverb, Strymon Blue Sky, Electro Harmonix Canyon, TipTop DSP with Valhalla Shimmer and Modcan 73B.'

"OB-XA in excellent condition. Works like original. Maintained by Boomer of SynthCo in Los Angeles. Has a Encore MIDI kit installed. Its the better of the two MIDI kits available for OB-Xa's. Exterior in excellent condition other than a few minor scratches on the top (see pics). Includes rare OB-Xa studio cover. Comes with pedal. Has been used rarely in smoke free studio."
