New Synth Gear and Makers in January 2015

After this year's massive New Years post, I thought it might be interesting to see how many new makers and new gear announcements we received in a single month.

This may or may not become a monthly theme on the site depending on interest. If you think it's worth while, leave a comment.

At a high level we had 12 new makers, one new old maker previously never featured on the site, and a whopping 193 new synth related products. Check out the module list below. The list is a combination of what was either announced or released this month.

OP-1 Song: Late Night and Lo-Fi

"Demo of a 4-track song I wrote after coming back from NAMM 2015 where I got to hang out with the Teenage Engineering team and chat on and on about my beloved OP-1 and what the future holds for Teenage Engineering. I came home inspired, wiped my OP-1 and wrote this little number. I hope you enjoy it. I added some brief discussion about how I organize my parts on the OP-1 tape at the end of the video. Happy music making!"

Eventide H3500 factory synthesizer presets

"Aside from being a world class studio staple, effects processor, sampler, pitch/time compander, the H3500 is also a synthesizer. Here are some examples of its synthesis capabilities. With the exception of the String Modeller example, all other examples are completely synthesized within the unit. The String Modeller requires an external exciter/impulse in order to produce sound."

Synthesizers.com Synthesizer triggers Roland TD-30 V-Drums Kit

"Demo of a Synthesizers.com Synthesizer triggering a Roland TD-30 V-Drum Kit. This was done by using the Q960 Sequencer to produce note voltages to be feed to the Q171 Quantizer and then output from the MIDI Out port on the Q172 Quantizer Aid module. Quantization is selected on/off per stage by the Q963 Trigger Bus."

iPad AIR Yamaha TNR-i & FLUX FX apps Improv Jam

There are so many options with all of these effects!
I spent over an hour creating this preset.
The Yamaha Tenori-On TNR-i app is being processed with FLUX FX. Very happy with these results"
