Ciat-Lonbarde Tocante - Bass Bistab Model

"Up for auction is a Ciat-Lonbarde Tocante touch synthesizer, the Bass Bistab version. This unit is an open circuit square-wave synthesizer. It is in 100% working condition, played a total of 10 to 15 times. It comes with the original box, which i have thoroughly decorated in pen-and-ink drawings.

The synth has 24 notes, each corresponding to a relatively arbitrary scale, based upon the E6 capacitor series, an industrial standard for electronics building. Each touchpad has three corresponding nodes that are linked directly to the components inside the synth, allowing cross modulation with every part of the circuit. This allows for a lot of dynamics and intermodulation sounds, and it can get very strange.

The synth is powered by solar energy - by flipping the synth over and exposing the solar panel to sunlight - or a power supply(not included). There is an 1/8" output for hooking it up to an amplifier or headphones.

The synthesizer functions completely, and cosmetically is in almost perfect shape. The copper traces have little to no oxidization. The synthesizer is, essentially, in like-new condition."

Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 with MIDI

"Listed here is the legendary Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 REV 3 w/ factory midi! This prophet, as with all of our other synthesizers, has been meticulously restored to beyond almost new condition. All CEM chips are functioning, all controls work and are not scratchy or dodgy. The wood on this prophet is beautiful and free from notable defects or chips. The bade logos are also great on this unit and do not suffer the same wear as many other units do. The service done on this keyboard insures it's longevity. The power supply has been recapped to avoid the dreaded tantalum shorting that is common in these units. Further, all tantalum capacitors in the voice and CPU boards have also been replaced as they often short and cause other issues. These issues were not present before we did work on this prophet, but was done to ensure they wont happen to its new owner. This unit has factory midi as well as the digital interface. It is well in tune. The key bushings have been replaced and the keys feel amazing and do not double strike or chirp."

"Experimenting with recording a guitar riff onto the Boomerand III, which is MIDI synced to everything else. Electribe 2 for drums. Euro having fun with everything else."

Mellow Moon II

Published on May 12, 2016 John L Rice

"More of the same music from Moon Modular and Synth Tech modules, out of focus sequencer video plus some Moon video footage I shot from my driveway Wednesday night.

Moon Modular 569 sequencer shot with a Canon C100 MkI camera and Canon 135mm f/2.8 soft focus lens, set to the #2 soft focus setting and then dialed completely out of focus.

The actual Moon was shot with a Canon C100 MkI camera and
Opteka 500mm f/6.3 mirror lens for the first two clips and then I added in the 2x converter for the second two clips, effectively making the reach 1000mm.

Both times the C100 A/V output was recorded to an Atomos Ninja Blade using the DNxHD 4.2.2 x codec.

Thank you for watching, rating and commenting! :-)"

Michelle Moog-Koussa is on a journey to retrace her father’s footsteps, meeting some of the people who played a role in Bob Moog's story. As a member of the Toronto-based multi-media group Intersystems, John Mills-Cockell was one of the first musicians to use a Moog synthesizer in a live performance, in 1968. Intersystems were also the first to bring a Moog modular synthesizer system into Canada. Their Moog would also appear on recordings by his later band Syrinx, before meeting an untimely end....

For more information on John Mills-Cockell's use of the Moog modular in Intersystems and Syrinx, please check out this great article post on the Bob Moog Foundation's website:
