Middle Eastern "moog" DIY Synthesizer

According to the listing: "1978 Moog Synthesizer, Analog Keyboard, Wood Synth Box, Rare, Retro, Vintage, Antique. One of the first synthesizers Moog company, in good condition, at the level of museums collectibles as well as Collectors... We send the product from Israel in the Middle East."

Not one of the first if it's from 1978. It's likely not from 1978 either. Note what appears to be MIDI jacks on the side. MIDI didn't arrive until 1983. The moog logo is wrong as well of course. I'm guessing this is just someone's DIY project. If anyone knows more about it, let us know.

Update via the comments: "I don't know what standard was being used in Israel at the time but the din jacks could be for audio input and output like those that were used in the ussr (maybe two outputs at different levels?). We really need someone who can read the script. Definitely not moog though."

"This is an unscripted quick demo of some of the basic functions of the PPG Waveterm as given by tech Ed Miller. It's not meant to be instructional or entertaining, rather just a demo that it works as it is for sale."

ARP 2600 Synthesizer & ARP 1613 Sequencer

"The ARP 2600 is arguably the most desirable analog synthesizer ever produced. Its features and capabilities are too extensive to list here, however there exists a great deal of information available online about the ARP 2600 synthesizer and 1613 sequencer.

This particular ARP 2600 is among the finest anywhere. It has spent its entire life in my home studio and is in amazing condition. It is completely stock, has never been retrofitted, modified or altered in any way, and features the “Moog” model 4012 filter. It was recently serviced by New Old Sounds in Phoenix, and is fully functional. This 2600 has very little wear and plays as good as new.

The ARP 3620 Keyboard is the most advanced 2600 keyboard model. Features include: duo-phonic capability, pitch-bend dial, portamento switch and slide control, a dedicated LFO for very expressive vibrato, latching and other useful features.

This 2600 is in unspoiled condition and has no cosmetic damage or electronic issues. The left channel volume slider knob is missing (but still functional) and, when I was younger, I stuck a JBL sticker on the front of this 2600 even though it doesn’t come with JBL speakers.

User manuals, power cords and patch cables are included.

ARP 1613 Sequencer

Just like my ARP 2600 Synthesizer, this ARP 1613 Sequencer has spent its entire life in my home studio and is in amazing condition. It was also recently serviced by New Old Sounds in Phoenix, and is fully functional. This sequencer is as useful on stage as in the studio. It can be connected to an ARP 2600, ARP Axxe, ARP Odyssey, Roland, Oberheim and Sequential Circuits synths as well as other synths via a CV converter."

"Yamaha synth manufactured in 1974. Single-voiced monophonic synth(no chords). This is extremely rare and the first synthesizer Yamaha manufactured.

Filters and Resonance controls have very unique quality probably due to the hardware's age.

It is in 7/10 physical condition and still works flawlessly. Connect it to a modern DAW and it can sound massive and weird (particularly lower frequency sounds). Signal chain and sounds altered by lever switches (portamento, envelope, pitch, instruments, etc)."

The Rock Drill 4069

"The Rock Drill 4069 is the new synth kit from lushprojects.com. This beginner-friendly kit is touch controlled and makes some of the meanest sounds around. PS - sorry about the clicks - these are some problems with my recorder and aren't true to the real sound."

via this auction

"The Rock Drill 4069 is a touch-driven synthesizer with a unique look and a mean sound. The deceptively simple circuit creates an amazing range of organic sounds in response to the connection between the performer and the touch pads. The project involves no microcontrollers and relies entirely on classical electronics being pushed in to interesting distorted operation for its effects. The sounds produced are a mixture of the expected and controllable and the totally unexpected as the system tips in to chaos. The sound is always raw and menacing.

Inspired by designs like the Electronic Dream Plant Wasp synth the Rock Drill 4069 uses a standard logic chip from the 1980s in a very original and unconventional way. Technically the circuit consists of two interacting oscillators, one audio frequency and one low frequency, driving an distorting amplifier. The touch pads make the player's body part of the circuit and provide many levels of feedback and connection between control voltages and signals in the system. The Rock Drill 4069 is powered by a 3 Volt coin cell and is completely safe in operation."
