"Beautifully designed and built analog eurorack synthesizer module that uses 3.5mm headphone jacks and sounds absolutely amazing. Critter and Guitari are well known for their analog hand held synths but this model is particularly unusual and rare because it is the only eurorack module that Critter and Guitari have ever made."

Chill track with Access Virus + MS-20 mini, Monologue, Mopho, Novation KS4, Volcas and Monotribe

Published on Sep 12, 2017 Arrayzable

"The Access Virus Indigo plays an arpeggio throughout the track. Volca Bass plays the deep round bass sequenced by the Electribe EMX-1. The EMX-1 also sequences the Korg X5DR and plays both drums and some other synth parts via it's own synth engine. The Mopho is 'lending' the midi signal going to the Volca Bass playing an arpeggiated bass line. I play a homebrew pad-patch on the Novation KS4 - btw the easiest synth ever to program!
The Monologue plays a minor but vital role as an assistent to the MS-20 mini lead, for a little two note harmony.
Volca Beats and Monotribe add some extra percussion.
First track of three tracks.
Trackname: 'Hathaway'

I've been away for a while, with no stable internet connection and re-decorating the house, but with loads of plans for new videos :)

As always live play with synths and sequencers.

Used in this track:

Korg MS-20 mini
Access Virus Indigo
Novation KS4 (K-Station)
Korg Electribe EMX-1
Korg Monologue
DSI Mopho
Volca Bass
Volca Beats
Korg X5DR
Monotribe
Korg Poly 800

DMX Krew and The One of a Kind Opal Rhythm Computor

DMX Krew - Opal Rhythm Computor tutorial (Drum machine & sampler) - Gear Guide

Published on Sep 12, 2017 FACTmagazine

"A one-of-a-kind drum machine, made from scratch.

Best known as DMX Krew, Ed Upton has been making acid, electro and IDM-laced bangers since the early ‘90s for some of the underground’s best-loved labels, including Aphex Twin’s Rephlex, Legowelt’s Strange Life and, more recently, Hypercolour.

When Upton’s favorite drum machine – an ultra rare RSF SD140 – was stolen and he couldn’t find another one, he learned how to solder and designed and built his own. The Opal Rhythm Computor is a drum machine and sampler filled with sounds from his Roland Alpha Juno synth that doesn’t look or sound like anything you can buy in a store.

Watch it in action above and find his new album Strange Directions at Bandcamp.

Ensoniq Fizmo Transwave Synthesizer

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

The Fizmo is a 48-voice synthesizer which uses 2nd-generation Transwave technology to create very organic sounds unlike any other synth available. Every programming function has its own dedicated knob or button, and there is a limited but useful 4-character LCD display. The Fizmo features an Arpeggiator and 24-bit VLSI effects with 41 algorithms, including a Vocoder and the ability to process incoming audio through the Vocoder and effects. (VERY POWERFUL)

Transwave synthesis uses wavetables of sound data with layered variations in harmonic structures such that their timbres progress naturally from one end to the other. This allows for sounds to modulate over time, or by velocity, wheel, pressure, or any number of other options.

There are 2 oscillators available for each of the 4 presets allowing for 8 unique oscillators at the same time, not to mention individual LFO and Noise generators for each Osc. Another wonderful feature is the ability to stack up to four individual presets together into one sound and map them across the keyboard. This synth is very capable of some very complex sounds.

The built-in Arpeggiator has 118 presets which can be easily edited to your liking, and 26 real-time control/editing knobs make mutating your sound a pleasure. All controls may be recorded in real-time to an external sequencer."
