AJH Synth - Gemini 2412 *Feedback Patching*
Published on Feb 15, 2018 DivKidVideo
"I'm sure a lot of you know the AJH Synth Gemini 2412 by now, a uniquely featured dual filter based on the classic early SEM designs. If you don't know anything about it yet check it out [here], but in this video I'm pushing it, bending it, and slapping it around with some feedback patching to see what happens and see what new tones we can come up with."

only the grey horizon

"0-Coast Ambient: only the grey horizon
for every arrival, a departure
Analogue improvisation with Makenoise 0-Coast, Korg SQ-1, Strymon Timeline, Strymon BigSky
Main motif is a single take recording, no editing. Additional noise background and high-pitched ‘percussive’ noise both from 0-Coast (derived from same patch)
The 8 possible pitches from Row 1 of the SQ-1 are ‘played’ throughout the recording (turned on/off to create the melodic fragments).
Makenoise 0-Coast
Image of patch at start and end of video
Square wave out to Tempo in (sets int clock to oscillator (audio rate)
Random out to LinFM in (creates noise bands in oscillator)
Slope set to cycle, EOC patched to sync in on SQ-1
Cntrl out to Balance in
Korg SQ-1
CVA patched to 1V/Oct
Single row of 8 pitches, Active Step mode
CVB patched to Ovrtn in (uses 3,5 or 7 steps)
Gate A to Contour Gate in
Notes
LinFM amount and Balance pot adjusted throughout performance. The combination of these 2 creates the changes in noisiness of the oscillator and overall bandwidth of the noise.
Strymon TimeLine
Custom patch based on dTape algorithm
Strymon BigSky
Custom patch based on Magneto algorithm

Columbia Rhythm Box MK-2 Vintage Analog Drum Machine

"Japanese vintage analog drum machine Rhythm Box MK-2 probably from the 1970's. There is no sign of manufacturer or brand name any where so I'm not sure if this is one of similar looking Columbia's Rhythm Box series or not.
The unit appears to be working fine, all the preset sounds played fine as being tested and the knobs working as they should. Maybe a slight scratch noise and bad contacts on the switches and knobs, which could do with some adjustment/servicing if required."
