Buchla 208p Music Easel Sketch "It Never Gets Any Easier"
Published on Aug 6, 2018 Heath Aldrich
"After spending almost 4 hours on the phone trying to figure out why my insurance denied my claim and how to fix it, I needed a Buchla break.
Simple patch, that gets sort of weird, but overall pretty. Sort of like life."

Abandon all hope ye who enter here
Published on Aug 2, 2018 Audio Illustrator
A new piece from supporting MATRIXSYNTH member, James Newman.
"Audio illustrator James Newman and the James Newman Cinematic Orchestra are pleased to present 'Abandon all hope ye who enter here'.
"Through me you pass into the city of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal pain:
Through me among the people lost for aye.
Justice the founder of my fabric mov'd:
To rear me was the task of power divine,
Supremest wisdom, and primeval love.
Before me things create were none, save things
Eternal, and eternal I endure.
All hope abandon ye who enter here."
From "The Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri.

I don't think I've seen the PowerSounds sticker before. I actually bought a brand new K5000S and it did not have the sticker on it. Guessing these were later models with new patches.

"Inside the base plate is signed 'Julia 12-16-81', so I probably bought it (new) in early '82. I've only used it at home and it's been stored in the loft for some years. It's in excellent cosmetic condition, apart from a couple of odd nicks on the end cheeks and baseplate shown in the photos. There was very little dust inside when I opened it up. I've cleaned and lubricated the keyboard as best I can, cleaned the J-wires and bus bars, treated the switches and pots with contact cleaner and beeswaxed the wooden end panels. I haven't replaced the keyboard bushings so the action is a bit clicky. Everything seems fine although the Osc A Pulse Width knob is a bit scratchy in places. I don't have the equipment to test the CV/Gate ins and outs."
